Who the heck thought to themselves "Look, here is the only line of trees for miles around. I know, lets put a runway between them" :-D

Nice job. Maybe try to hold the nose wheel up. Till speed bleeds off. But cool

I’m just glad he didn’t collapse that nose wheel.

One thing I cannot understand of fixed wing pilots is when they start moving the yoke hand fast in all directions. I guess it is a try to get precise. One movement and another movement in the opposite direction to correct. And so on. But a smoother way of piloting will give you far more precission, without wasting energy (hence better performances), besides of being more elegant, of course.

The terrain is very bumpy, is hard to feel the commands, basically I am looking for the ideal position without surprises, it doesn't look the nicest but it efficient to me to feel better, it looks chaotic but it's not that simple. The same place, it can be seen that there is no room for error: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGXImGqeZ8uFqdk .

@@ikonet09 it's not just you, it's something that I see in many fixed wing pilots. When I transitioned from fixed wing aircraft to helicopters my instructor showed me how with fewer control inputs I could obtain the same. For instance, you can do hover both with constant and fast control inputs or with fewer, small control inputs. Results are nearly the same, the helicopter keeps the position, but the second option is the best, because stress on the aircraft and on the pilot is lower. We should avoid overcontrol. Usually we are not aware of it, so it's good to think about it sometimes in order to perfectionate our skills, trying to do the same with less control inputs. The flight will be smoother. But all in all, nice piloting and nice video. Regards.

@@carlospalacio6555 Carlos, as airspeed drops away control authority diminishes. So greater throws of the stick are needed to get the same results. That said, PIO's are a thing in the fixed-wing world, meaning too much of a good thing (control inputs) are not a good thing at all.

@@ikonet09 I agree - entirely. But evidently I was wittily making you aware of a noun error. On the other hand, my current form of flying is gliding - and I'd never attempt to get into a place like that - well, in an emergency.... 👀
