VL3 Evolution JMB Aircraft : 3 hours breathtaking flight over the Swiss and French Alps

This movie is about our spectacular flight over the highest mountains in the Swiss and French Alps, incredible snowcapped mountain tops over 4000m with big primaeval glaciers.
Our VL3 flight started from the beautiful Freiburg Im Breisgau (flugplatz Freiburg EDTF) in the south of Germany, approximately half an hour flight away from the Bernese Alps.

Our journey over the Bernese Alps started around the Schilthorn with on top the revolving restaurant Piz Gloria (movie location of James bonds On Her Majesty's Secret Service ). Next we passed by the top of Europe the Jungfrau (4158m), the Mönch (4107m) and the Eiger (3970m). Making a right turn after the (smaller) Mättenberg into the valley next to the Schreckhorn (4078m) with behind the majestic Finsteraarhorn (4274m - highest mountain in the Bernese Alps). Continuing our flight led us over the Lauteraar Glacier. Afterwards, making a right turn over the Rhône valley. After a while we took a right turn to fly over the big Aletsch Glacier to fully enjoy this primaeval beauty, with 23km the longest glacier in the Alps. We followed our route to the south overhead Zermat and passing by the Weisshorn (4506m) and the shark's-tooth Matterhorn (4478m), the symbol of Switzerland. Continuing further south we passed the border with Italy rewarded by views at Aosta and the Mont Blanc in front us. We took a turn into Switzerland again to admire the Grand Combin (4314m) and Mont Vélan (3727m). The iconic Mont Blanc (4808,7m) at the back attracted us again to the border Italy - France, the Mont Blanc Massif. Passing over this mountain range is the most challenging because of the height and wind. On your left side you see the Mt. blanc (4808m) en on your right the Dent du Géant (4013m). Immediately after this passage we got rewarded by spectacular views over the big glacier Mer de Glace. We followed the Rhône valley to the small village of Sion, turning back to Piz Gloria and back to Freiburg.
