Oh my!!!! I can’t imagine how long it took to set up all these vocal and guitar presets for every song and near the end you tell us we can have them for free holy shit!!!! You’re too good! Sooooooooo very clever how “on song” selects presets so you can concentrate on your performance 🙏🤩😍.

I HAD to laugh! I thought you went to my house and stole my setup! Beat buddy, Bose, TC VL3, and Onsong. I JUST bought the Extreme 3. you are doing a fantastic job doing the "Working man's" tutorial. I don't care how to build the thing, I need to use it, live in two weeks! You are fast tracking it for me quite well. Thanks for the time that you put into the videos.

7:46 Love the song list idea. I have adopted it myself and also added my PayPal & Venmo info on there. Like I always say with cash tips: You're request has a much better chance of being played when it's written on a $20 bill. hahaha I don't bother laminating mine though. I have a color laser printer and can print tons of them out quickly and cheaply. I have my website and all my social media info on there as well, so I encourage people to take it home with them.

I appreciate the time you have taken to put all of this together. Well done. I too use the Mel 9 for some of the Gordon Lightfoot tunes. It also works well with R.E.M.'s "Losing My Religion" and The Church's "Under the Milky Way". I can't wait to incorporate the VL3X into my songs. Peace

Utterly AMAZING! Wow! Mine's an $800 paperweight! I never got any traction w/that gadget. Learning curve was a greased flagpole for me & every attempt at a learning session just ended in frustration.. There's was so much technical stuff & micro-editing options & I'd sit there flustered , asking, "Uh, how do I turn my mike up?" LOL Seriously, Great work, Man! I'm impressed! Wish I had your tech skills, patience & fortitude!
@MattBrodeurMusic3 жыл бұрын
Mine has been a dust collecting paperweight for a few years now too. I've been using my TC Helicon PlayAcoustic live because it's simpler and I have a decent sound dialed in. But I just get overwhelmed with EVERYTHING the VL3 can do and I want to do it ALL! I recently sat down with my VL3 and tried to stay focused on one objective - building a decent guitar sound for my acoustic. I hooked it up to VoiceSupport2 and backed up all the presets I had. Then I loaded each of the bonus packs and went through every single one of them just listening for any guitar sounds that sounded interesting and took notes. When that was all done I loaded all the "interesting" ones onto my VL3 and then pulled them up in the 3rd party VoiceLive editor so I could get a good visual representation of how each preset was built and picked a few different ones and dialed them in a bit for my specific guitar. I plan on doing the same with some of my electrics and then with vocals. I basically want just those 3 or 4 go-to sounds that will work with 90% of the songs I do and then a few song specific ones.

@@MattBrodeurMusic Matt, I admire your patience & determination. Each time you post it makes me wanna sit down & take a focussed approach & divide & conquer (well, conquer's too strong a word - it's SUCH a complex device!) and stick with it!. thanks, that's a great setup. I play solo with mp3 backing and a midi track for feeding a TC Voiceworks with Midi chords for harmony voices but it's getting old and I wonder if the Voicelive extreme would be a higher quality voice effects chain. Do you know if it can do harmony voices if you feed it with Midi chords?

HI, it is really useful video. Please, give me the type of the midi cable to connect to Ipod. I have found 2m USB to MIDI Interface Converter Cable, but with different adapter types: Adapt Y7E6; Adapt L8N4; Adapt A9N1! Are there any differences? I think yes, but which one do you reccomend to use?

I go direct from my acoustic into the Mel pedal, out to the guitar in on the VL3x, for outputs I go out of VL3x XLR to 1/4" into the Bose, I bought cables just for this, very easy, no external mixer needed, when I have both L1 Bose, I send out in stereo

Does do you know how to connect an ear monitor for click track that is in sync with the backing track using the voice live 3 extreme? I want to hear the click without the audience hearing it. Thanks for any help!!! Also, I tried to answer your reply about the scarlet but the question dissapeared. The Scarlett is an interface. You run your mic and guitar through it into your computer's Daw then output to OBS and then OBS connects to Facebook Live, Twitch, You tube, etc.... Hello Tim I’m interested in copying your first 3 - 4 presents because I have no time to learn all the tricks I need it to do just simple harmony in some parts of the songs I play. Also I noticed mine has a plastic digital sound layer of my regular voice with the mic with no effects is that normal with the pedal or there is a way to just switch off the “auto tune” i think is working in the background. Please do if you could share your first 4 setups I would really appreciate. Thanks

Have issue with VL3X. All the effects disappeared audio wise on every patch throughout the unit. Even with factory reset the effects still a no-show but show up on menu. I contacted TC Helicon through their useless site for service they NEVER got back to me. Do you know if this is a adjustment issue or has this basically unused $800 piece metal crashed and need repair?

HI , if you have a VL3 preset for each song then you are limited to number of presets available on VL3? Great Video.
@timpendergrass66403 жыл бұрын
I assume so, I have about 92 songs saved with tracks as pre sets, if I don't have a backing track, I just trigger it to go to one of the 3 harmony presets that I like, lower third, upper third and both.

But there are 500 presets available. And then if you factor in "Steps" that multiplies it even more.
