Yea black people age differently than white people because of the melanin in their skin. The more melanin the less the skin wrinkles and more resilient it is. Plus they have never had any sun damage or anything like that. Not that he's not taking care of himself I'm sure he will.

@@alexhatfield4448 the sun ages you. White people spend all their time flying to Florida and California getting tans. Over time, they end up paying for it. How often do you see black people in the sun when they don’t have to be? Or jogging on beaches in the summer. Doesn’t happen.

If u look at Jay-Z with being successful after being a drug dealer u can also look at Kanye being more successful coming in under Jay-Z and never sold any drugs at all in his life. So if ur paying attention you'll know u don't have to sell drugs to be a success as a artist

I had a similar talk with my 13 year old daughter yesterday. I explained as a teenager why I did not sell drugs like the rest of the kids in my neighborhood. I told her it was not worth my life, some other gang shooting me for selling to their customers, or getting locked up. Standing outside in 15 degree cold weather or the summer heat waiting on a crackhead. Nope, I went to school were the girls where and my friends. At the age of 17 I joined the Army and as soon as I was out of school I was out of St. Louis.

@@TheGobblersGetback I grew up on a street called Arco. It is off of Kingshighway and Oakland in the city. During the 90's I lost several friends to gang violence. I tried to stay neutral as much as I could but I caught a fade now and then just because the side of Taylor Ave I lived on. One day the guy that beat me to a pulp with his friend walked up my street. I was twelve and they were older teens. The homies came off the porch and surrounded him. He was in a waiters uniform on his way to the bus stop. They gave me a gun and reminded me how he beat me and put me in my bed for three days. I gave them the gun back and said he was not worth it. I went back to drinking my English 800 and just chilled. I have no issue with this other than how they would not go get a job while they was free before to prison. I had a conversation with a guy I know while he was in prison he wrote me a letter BRAGGING about make 100K+ when he was on streets when he dealing over a 18 month period before getting caught. He got 10 years in prison because of his actions. I wrote him back telling him you averaged about 10k a years for for your 10 years sentence could of easily got a job paying $30k or more and be free. No one can live off 10K a year in the real world. He is out now working 2 jobs doing the right thing.

When you're the distributor, the profit from one brick alone is not much at all, $1,000. But, the distributor is getting rid of 500-1000+ bricks in a short period of time. You're not breaking these bricks down and bagging them up. You're getting rid of them as is and youre only making like 5-7 big drops. It's the street level dudes that do all the work. They make more money but it's slower and a higher risk cause you're on the street 24/7 with the stick up kids and 5-0. It's slower because you're always in debt to the plug unless you're smart and save up.

im not from the East Coast so I could be wrong, but mind u certain terms or the meaning of changes depending on the era and geographical context. Redman use to rap about jersey being “brick city” alot of those guys from the early 90s called there heroin packs bricks. Jay also from that era, the verse always made since to me as in he lost “92 packs” . Thats why it was never questioned at the time of. Why would it be a thing now, 20 something years later. This a whole diff era, everything ppl basing they knowledge of is off other rap songs when ppl rapped about bricks n trap music. For instance out here in the D, traps n the late 90s early 2000s, traps was called “ spots” n simply “ crack houses” u sat n the spot by urself u was holding down the fort” trap music changed the whole lango of drug dealing, forgetting most of that music was southern based and alot of the terms was from Atlanta, and Texas n shit. East Coast, mid west was saying they own shit. the hip hop world just got lost n the sauce n new generation mfs getting all they slang from the South and other outside cities.

I disagree. It's not as simple as a 6% profit margin. The percentage sucks but the profits compound because the prices drops with weight. Also time value must be applied. How long did it take to move the 90 bricks on average? If it was a few hours or one transaction that would equate that 6% to 90k per hour or 45k for 2 hours etc. The time value of the 6% and the total amount important. Rapper don't get 6 points or 6% per album most of the time. Don't let the small percentage make you overlook the true value of the exchange .

Yeah you know nothing of selling drugs. A brick, in that era, for him and just someone else? He'd get rid of it in a week, maybe....Freeway goes in about it in several interviews, he was at most making 200-300k in one day, but that was with his crew of 40 dudes, himself included. Jay and some unkown were not getting rid of a brick anytime soon. Especially given the location. Let along the fact that he never had 92 bricks, no one would front you 92 bricks, let alone let you buy that many. Cartel members and movers of cartels, aren't letting you walk away with 92 bricks even if you have 1.6 million, which Jay obviously didn't have. Lets say he did, somehow, the connect liked his cadence and just in his overall person, and loaned* him 92 bricks...do you know the hell that would come down on that entire block if he actually did lose it? The cartel has killed for less. So first you want me to believe that someone Jay and some random got fronted 92 bricks, then that he lost it? C'mon son, be smarter, he's a poet selling fantasies.

When you reach that level in the game it’s not about margin, it’s about volume. If you have the network to get 92 bricks on face, you have a network in place to get them off quickly, albeit at a very thin margin…BUT, you’re probably making 92k 3-4X per month, $3.3M per year on the low end…still not worth, but you get the point.

It's really about the effort it took to get some of the bricks sold. Sometimes it be little to none in terms of the energy you exerting, through conversations and covert movements. If you a dealer, you give it to pushers. You take that same 6% and invest in other things which I imagined what Jay did, and he is now a billionaire 🤷🏽‍♂️ In rare cases, the risk makes sense, especially if you are product of your environment. You are missing the point! No disrespect let me try to re-explain. If you have 92 bricks the largest Network and the strongest team. It don’t matter if when you go sell the first brick of the 92 and you are only making $1000 or $2000 off of that one brick it’s still a 6% profit. And they arrest you after selling one brick you made 6% profit and didn’t even get a chance to see no money. The risk of you selling all 92 is always there was not a chance of making profit. You need to be getting 100% of your money doubling your investment. That’s why you have successful people in Wall Street. In Wall Street they say you buy low and sell high you always want your profit margin to supersede your investment. If you go to school and learn economics you will learn this. That’s FACTS!!

People selling white are making a return of at least 2-3x their investment every re-up. Or else what’s the point? It’s not even worth it…when you’re dealing with coke money, money comes so quick it’s like phony money.if I’m getting an ounce for 800 I’m seeing 2400 back after I cut it. If you move it quick, it can be less % wise but you’re doing it over and over in one shot. @Vlad, I'm from Trenton NJ and in the 80's I promise you Jay was moving bricks at high volumes back then. I remember the whispers I use to hear about the dude from NY and when I seen him...well lets be honest, Jay has a face you'll never forget lol

Facts, ppl never had a job in their life but can't wait to be a trustee in jail, it's ass backwards thinking. In the end, I don't think it's about money, its the image. It's "cooler" to be a drug dealer than get a job. Just like in jail, when you a trustee you have more access to do things, be the man so to speak

It’s not about being cool biggie did it to support his daughter and when the music wasn’t looking right he told puff he was going to go back to selling. Back in those days it was about survival

Y’all are forgetting… that’s why bricks were reconned & rerocked.. throwing 500 grams of cut into a 1000 gram brick changes that 6%.
