Bruh I was using some minor cheat mods playing elspeth, my army was pretty good, 10% ward on all units, 20% range and extra ammunition, 15% extra range damage, 25% extra mass. So I wipe out his entire two armies, decent scrap, I microd my ass off. Vlad survives, he reheals his full health like 3 times and terror routed my whole army after almost killing them all off and all my units running out of ammo and resupplys 💀 it was quite disheartening. Next time I fought him it was 3 stacks, but I had elspeth in the army that time and a bunch of amethyst units and stomped him. I can't imagine him with the crown or sword of khaine etc.

His power is rooted in a few things that are baseline to him: - Look how strong Franz can be, he's built off the trashy imperial general template. Apply that power scaling but to the Vampire lord. - Foot lord with high melee defense, armor and regeneration. High synergy between them since he's not a good missile target, not easy to gang up on with large entities since he falls down and becomes immune, and having an extra 75% of a health bar is good no matter what char you are. -Von Carstein Ring is one of the best items you can have for survival, it being specific to him is huge. -Vampire magic is one of the best lores for survival, stabilizing, peeling and stopping artillery even though its almost entirely the same since game 1's launch He is synergized for max survival. But, this also makes him a terrible assassin since he cant get anywhere fast. So, he's incredibly awesome except when you need him to actually do things other than stay alive or tie up a terrifying enemy.

This is my campaign and thank you again legend for saving Ungrim. with the confederation i got 3 new Armies, that tanked my Income. I expanded so fast, because i was running after the Age of Reckoning Counter and so i left Norsca to early. This was really expensive in the long run. Oh and the province that wasn't taxed, was so, because i had public order problems and this was maybe 20 turns ago and i simply forgot it.

I had a problem similar to this were Vlad had the crown and a strong army. Only way I could beat it was take 3 of my armies and use auto resolve, only for Vlad to be back next turn and spawn in a new army and wipe out the remaining forces I had. God I love Vlad, never change king.

I think playing with negative income is very based. Its a lot of fun to have as much armies as possible and not waste money on buildings that need a very long time to pay for their construction costs. Its just important to keep the deposit double of what ur losing per turn to avoid desertion. So u have to make a lot of money from fighting and diplomacy

@@Fr1kaD3ll37 some factions can pull it off better than others and it's a single player game so everyone should play it they way they enjoy it the most. But if you look at objevtive efficiency, focusing on economic development since turn 1 leaves you better off at turn 30 than being really aggressive the whole time. In both of my Malakai campaigns I had confederated all the dwarfs, owned 100+ regions by turn 55 and had ~20 armies running around while constantly recruiting two more.

@@miniroseyo If I remember correctly, for Malakai I started off with regular slayers and slayer pirates. With him I took out the starting province and Hell Pit in 5 turns I believe. From there to Azazel and then Sarl. Unlocked a few adventures, split the adventure units to his army and a new army I started. Recruited mostly just slayer pirates to the new army led by a demon slayer lord. Split the armies up, Malakai took on the World Walkers and the new army went for Wintertooth. Added some dwarf warriors where I could while moving and a master engineer. Age of reckoning army took out the Norsca areas to the east, traded a settlement to the scaven to secure an alliance. But I basically just do what Legend does, use the heroes to do most of the work, some dwarf warriors to just hold the line while cannons/gyrocopters do work. Slayer pirates are a cheap crap stack you can make quite early and because the Spirit of Grugni is insanely strong I often just hired a new lord when Malakais army was full (usually did a quest battle or an adventure battle with the full stack) and transferred all the slayer pirates to the new army which split off from Malakai and kept recruiting from Malakai's horde buildings to fill up his stack again. I also in both campaigns went to war with Epidemius, used my Wintertooth army to beat him, then traded the settlements from the red territory to the dark elfs and Daniel to secure some treaties to buy me some time early game from the dangers in the north. I also confederated Thorek first on both campaigns so I could start smacking Clan Mors for some grudges. I feel like you also don't need to build any military buildings except the tier 2 one where you get Thunderers and then make armies with 2-3 artillery from adventures/grudge settlers, thunderers and dwarf warriors. And confederating via the book of grudges is often only viable for the first confederation, then you just do the rest diplomatically.

Damn, I have PTSD from Vlad. Playing as Gelt now. Returned to Empire, Vlad is pushing Franz and Elseph so Ib decided to help him while my main army is pushing Norska. Killed two VC armies with my secondary stack but got attacked by Vlad himself. Just he and Isabella are enough to trash my army so I am still thinking how to win (cannot send the battle as I am on Mac now).

I am playing a Slaanesh campaign in Immortal Empires. I am just about to take the last settlements in Ulthuan at turn 45. Nemesis crown is found in Sylvania by Vlad who is level 29 by turn 45. If I had the funds, I would send an alluress to scout to find wtf happened there.

Couldn't you have put Ungrim outside the city and retreat from the 1st battle. I don't think the vampires would have had enough movement to do a follow-up attack after taking the city. You might have been able to take a few pot shots with ranged units before retreating. Would make the following battles substantially easier.

It’s super annoying and downright cringe that they factor in ammo use with the type of victory you get. That’s probably the only reason for Pyrrhic Victory. That’s the entire point of ammo and it always regens next battle even if it’s the same turn.

Looking at this guys campaign I feel like that's how a lot of Malakai campaigns go. You naturally start having to deal with Norsca. Then because of the grudge mechanic you are almost forced to push aggressively toward the dark lands and Azhag. It's not smart as you have have so many enemies around your rapidly expanding border, but if you want to get your grudges completed, then you have very few options. This campaign progress looks very similar to my own and I imagine a lot of others. It's around this stage at about turn 50 that things are starting to vary. For example I just confederated Thorgrim instead of Ungrim and have just finished conquering all of Norsca but now have to deal with the factions in the chaos wastes who are declaring war and sending in armies after me.

Elspeth was a good counter to vlad but Vlad needs more penalties to upkeep or something every time he dies. The player shouldnt ever really encounter the mechanic., but it prevents the ai from just apamming one of the strongest fighting lords in the game
