Most people are calling Keefe D stupid, and that he wrote a book and did interviews for clout, or that he is a narcissist, or he didn't understand the proffer deal, or he wanted to just tell his side of the story. I don't believe any of those things, IMO he kept talking because he wanted to be arrested, to rid his conscience of the guilt that he had been carrying for years. This type of stuff haunts you forever. If you take a look at his arrest video, he looks relieved to me. It seemed like he was saying to himself "it's about time you got here".

He has no guilt. In some of the interviews he's laughing about it while telling it. In other parts of those interviews he said the proffer agreement means they can't use anything against him. Then, I think it was VLAPD that tells him it's only good for that day and he pauses for a bit and is like well they haven't come for me yet. So he did believe they couldn't arrest him because the proffer agreement.
