The Joker vs Nurse Ratched (One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest): Everyone always suggests Joker vs Pennywise but I think that this matchup has more potential: two famous villains associated with madness and have opposite personalities. Joker is an agent of chaos while Ratched wants order. Joker is maniacal and impulsive while Ratched is stoic and contained. They both use psychological techniques to get their way and manipulate others. I know it's a longshot but I'd actually like to see ERB tackle this one.

Yes the names have very different meanings, but many aspects of Dracula were inspired by Vlad the Impaler. The bats, the blood, Transylvania, etc.

Vlad was only born in Transylvania, he didn't actually live or rule there. He lived in and ruled Wallachia to the south. And Dracula's own origin story in the novel is left purposely ambiguous; there are aspects of his personality that have nothing to do with Vlad. For example, Count Dracula was an alchemist in life, also studied magic at the Scholomance... and was nobility in Transylvania, not Wallachia like Vlad was. The only real things he has in common with Vlad the Impaler are his name ("Dracula") and the fact they both fought the Ottomans at the Danube.

Brahms Stroker did use Vlad Tepes III for the inspiration of Dracula. Tepes's bloodlust and viciousness and rumors that he dined around the dead is what made him such a palpable figure to be based off of for vampires. However the overall influence for Dracula is Romanian myths themselves including strigoi (vampires) and werewolves.

@@nikbow3353 Actually, Romanians are a combination of roman culture, dacic culture and other roaming nations of that period of time that influenced the language, but due to the geographic positioning we have slavic roots as much as we have latin roots, we can see it in the vocabulary and in some destinctive Romanian cuisine. But still, i really apreciate that people are still aware of our Roman roots so thanks a lot man :)

The thing with vampires and mirrors is as fallows, vampires from a long time ago could not see their reflection in mirrors because they where backed with sliver which is a pure metal, but now days mirrors are backed with aluminum which is not a pure metal so they would have no problem seeing their reflection.

The lore or tales of vampires been in Romania culture long before Bram Stoker wrote Dracula. Historical scholars today have found some historical events of Vlad in Stoker's Dracula. They now believe that Count Dracula was loosely based of Vlad the Impaler. Dragons and bats are considered associated with Satan. So, they both are considered Demons. Dragons are serpents. The snake that appeared before Eve is called a serpent. The serpent is associated as a demon. The movie Dracula Untold used the latest findings of the connections between Vlad and Stoker's Dracula. The 1992 film, Dracula 2000 and Dracula Untold showed Dracula's past and that his victims when he was a mortal were impaled on stakes. I think a lot of information might be updated as Historians been doing a lot of study between Vlad and Dracula since there are some historical connections in a way. Stoker did visited Romania and the region where Vlad ruled. He liked the name, but he may have also picked up the folktale of Vlad's past, and used the tale and name for his book. It may have been an accident how Stoker wrote his book. The part of translation about the blood may have been the fact about what Vlad did with his victims which made Vlad look like a vampire today. There are way too many connections to discount that Stoker's Dracula and V lad are the same, but most of it fiction. As it is, Vlad is such an evil man to this day's standards.
