It's ironically heart-warming just how much Vlad and Isabella truly loved each other. The fact that Vlad initially refused to give her the blood-kiss speaks volumes, and only gave it to her as a last resort. And the fact that Isabella, upon hearing of her husband's final death, threw herself to her own death just to join him. One of the few cases of true love in the Warhammer world.
@Sagnus14 жыл бұрын
I remember in parts of the fluff (I think the Genevieve novels, maybe) it's said that vampiric couples rarely happen as vampires are natually extremely emotional/driven ceatures, so much so that they get disturbingly obsessive about each other. Almost becoming like a single entity with two bodies. Of course with many authors contibuting to the lore who can say what is canon with the books.

Keep in mind: Vlad did not automatically turn his wife into a vampire. He did it to save her life.
@InsertUsernameHere_a5 жыл бұрын
Yeah like hell, Vlad really loved his wife. The two actually had a healthy relationship wherein Isabell didn’t got intimidated with Vlad and was even sassy which made Vlad like her. The two got to know each other after being politically engaged and fell in love with each other. Eventually, Isabella begged Vlad to turn her but Vlad thought that life as an undead was too harsh for her so he avoided that topic. He only turned her cause Isabella was gravely injured, and he did it albeit hesitatingly. So yeah, wholesome romance in the dark world of Warhammer.

This is a matter of deep family pride, and it is not unknown for Von Carsteins to flay the tongues of those who make the last syllable rhyme with 'seen.'" @Alex The Awsome Your statement lacks context. I'm assuming you're referring to GoT as the fanfic, as the TV series took 'creative license' with the source book, and the book itself is "inspired" by the war of the roses. The first Vampire war is canonical warhammer lore. If you are wondering why you get to play as vlad in the video game, that would be because it's nearly impossible to perma-kill an elder vampire in Warhammer. To give you an idea, Mannfred, Vlads 'childe', revives because someone died a little to close to were Mannfred himself was killed about four hundred years before. Basically? even a garbage tier necromancer can bring an ashed vampire back with a little effort. But if the body remains, they can literally come back without assistance should even a little blood (man or beast) reach them.

@barbarusbloodshed63475 жыл бұрын
There are rules in German on how to pronounce things. I know, a concept hard to grasp for people speaking English! :D The S in the letter combination ST is pronounced as SH. And "Stein" is a German word and just means "stone". Albert Einstein's last name therefore translates to "one-stone". The letter C usually is pronounced like a K in German, unless it's in front of an H. While the V is pronounced like an F. (except for the V in Vlad, because Vlad is not a German name) And the combination of E and I is pronounced as in the English word "eye". So you'd end up with "fon Karsht:eye:n"
