I remember a long time ago the Jays had a player named Cecil Fielder which they eventually traded to the Detroit Tigers. He was strong at bat, even better for Detroit and exciting to watch at bat. He didn't quite excel but he almost did but today I learned about Vladimir Guerrero and he looks like the best player that I've ever seen just in general but thinking back on the Jays that won back to back World Series, they didn't have a massive superstar player but they did have strong pitching and a strong closer, and they had leadership that held together so that they could get results but I don't know how they did it...but they did.
