He doesn’t have to say anything to get paid. His play will get him paid. He was asked about New York and said if traded he’d play anywhere which is obvious.. and he’s said he wants to stay in Toronto but would have to be paid properly which again seems like common sense. We can’t attract top free agents in their primes so why not pay Vlad if he’s open to staying?

Just because the Jays stink this year - why does that mean trade VGJ? He is only 25 - lock him up and build around him - he is top 3 first baseman's in the majors.
