Day 649.
Today, we bring you the latest military, diplomatic and political updates from Ukraine and across the world and we sit down with Evgenia Kara Murza.
Evgenia is a Russian human rights activist and wife of political prisoner Vladimir Kara-Murza, a Russian and British political activist who has been imprisoned since April 2022 for protesting the war on Ukraine. In April 2023, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison. We spoke to Evgenia about her husband’s campaigning, his arrest, detention, and the brutal realities of Vladimir Putin’s regime.

Such a powerful, clear & supportive message that this lady being interviewed makes, regarding her Russian husband being unjustly imprisoned in Russia, for exposing the truth about Putin's brutal regime.

😳 what?.... I missed something.... the Telegraph is for sale? Why would the UAE want it, can't they just create their own? TheTelegraph owned by UAE, would no longer be TheTelegraph as it is now, but would be news&reporting according to UAE style&standards..... It would be just as weird as the UK buying Al Bayan (for eg) ...surely the only reason you'd do that, is in the hope of influencing the local population under the name of an already established news logo🤔

The realities of life's bizarre moments take on a quality that lets tyranny strut confidently about without approval or false pretense. @Kath-nd6pj
@Kath-nd6pj 6 ай бұрын
Several things were different with Germany. War has not been taken to Russia. Ukraine has enough to do. They only want Russia out of their land. Shifts within Russia will have to be political, not from outside imposed war ones. Putin has been consolidating ties and influence with other anti-USA and anti-democracy countries. ‘Us against them(democracies) telling us how to live’. I t is not only Putin. The .Kremlin is very anti-democracy atm. Putin’s speciality is KGB style influence. His meeting now with Iran , has been timed to spook the USA into believing they may additionally be getting aggression from them. Discouraging even more Republicans to halt money and weapons going to Ukraine they may well need themselves soon. I woukd not put it passed Putin, that he had something to do with the timing of this HAMAS attack on Israel. There are signs that Wagner (a portion of their warriors did return to Africa - Putin has asset interests there) trained HAMAS fighter. Looking at the atrocities coming to light - their are similarities.

Excellent content today. I live in Toronto Canada. I have followed your podcast on youtube since the second week of your broadcast. In Canada we have a media company CBC which is primarily funded by government budgets. The news bias reflects this funding dependency. Today at the end of the podcast it was mentioned that the Telegraph could be possibly sold in the future. A possible purchaser might be a player from an undemocratic country that is an ally with Russia. Please express to the owners of the Telegraph that such a sale would not be in the interest of free speech and democratic freedoms. I would expect that if such a sale went through that the new owners first action would be the termination of the podcast Ukraine the latest. That would be an absolute crime against journalism and Ukraine. These are very dark times.😢
