Come close to God and he will come close to you-James 4:8 NLT Maybe your like me and your ALWAYS asking questions. So you ask "why does the first move have to be me" "why do I have to be the one come close to God first". I'm not sure if this is biblical but from my current knowledge on Gods love I beleiving he is always chasing us like in Mathew 18:12. He is always inviting us in, the invitation is always open. He is like a father with his child he wants to have a relantionship with his child and to see them smile and he would give anything for his children. And he did give all he had for us not even withholding his only son. So are really the ones to make the first move? Maybe God wants you to draw close to him first because if you didnt the relationship would be completly one-sided. I believe God is like father who wants to give his child everything but he knows they would not understand yet and that they are simply too young. The gift would be "nice" but not special, almost meaningless to them because they are just not ready yet.
