Lil Reese came through for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off speaking about his origins of growing up in Chicago on the Southside, where he started rapping at the age of 10. Around the same time, Lil Reese started getting in trouble with the law for minor offenses, but he says his life shifted after his brother’s death. Speaking more about music, Lil Reese detailed meeting Chief Keef, who he credits with changing the landscape of hip-hop in Chicago by pioneering the Drill sound. Lil Reese also spoke about Kanye taking him off of the remix and replacing him with artists from his GOOD Music label. Moving along, Lil Reese detailed being signed to Def Jam around the same time as Lil Durk, and during the conversation, Lil Reese explained why he left the label.
