John Salley was Friends with OJ Simpson, Doesn't Think He Killed Nicole & Ron (Flashback)

In 2019, four-time NBA champion John Salley reacted to OJ Simpson's social media presence before expressing his belief that the former NFL player was innocent in his murder case. Salley stated, "If you know OJ, you know he couldn't have done it," before giving the circumstances of OJ's robbery case, which resulted in the Hall of Famer spending almost nine years in prison. Vlad and OJ further discussed the media spectacle that was OJ's murder trial and the role racial tension played in people's opinions. OJ Simpson recently passed away after a battle with cancer.

Besides all this, Glenn Rogers killed Ron and Nicole he's on death row in the Florida penitentiary, and he admitted to killing both of them. Just to add what l meant to write was that Salley is correct that OJ was overcharged for what he did go to prison for. It's not OJ's fault that his lawyers were better than the lawyers the state of California put up. Secondly Johnny Cochran was brilliant not only during the trial but in getting the people he wanted on the jury.

You ever been FALSELY accused of murder? It tends to change the behavior of the accused. I worked at the Post Office, with the guy who was famously accused of being "the Crossbow Murderer". It was truly sad to see how he couldn't be himself, even though, it had been years since the issue had been closed. Instead of thinking that you've come up with some sort of "gotcha" (his "bizarre" behavior), why not deal with facts. And, the fact that WITHOUT PROOF, white America decided that OJ was guilty, because, they couldn't accept the reality that she & Ron were crack-heads (ruled inadmissible in court), and, owed money to a shady element. Black L.A. knew about it, just like New Yorkers know & detest Donald trump, but, besmirching the legacy of Sweet Polly Purebread is forbidden, in the same court systems that REGULARLY deny Black citizens justice. It's weird, how everubody "knows" that OJ "did it", but, not a one of them has produced any PROOF. All the proof in the world, that trump is a criminal, but, white folks can't seem to make up their minds on THAT, but, with NO PROOF, they're universally certain that OJ "did it".

Not a single person has ever entertained the idea that he is an unlucky guy as far as the Nicole and Ron Goldman deaths. Plus, nobody who was innocent would ever try on the gloves that killed his ex-wife. And OJ never complained once about doing about a year and a half in jail awaiting trial on the murders. It is impossible for OJ to have done it. He supposedly got home from murdering Nicole at 10:55, and then got in a limo at 11:01. Where did the knife go? Where did the bloody clothes go? How did he dispose of them, shower, change, pack, and bring his bags out on to the porch in a span of 5-6 mins? Why not just cancel the trip to Chicago? Give yourself some time to dispose of evidence. Instead we are supposed to believe he took the knife to LAX and tried to smuggle it through a metal detector? Or dispose of it between signing autographs? Why does he not have any injuries consistent with a physical struggle? None of it makes any sense.

He didn’t have the temperament for it? Listen to the 911 calls of him in the middle of violent rages and Nicole’s terrified voice. She told her family if something were to happen to her it was him. Then he wrote that insane book which a normal innocent human would totally do. Get out of here. The whole thing is so tragic.

At the end of the day OJ was found not guilty, and whether MFS feels he did or didn't do it the court wasn't able to prove it. So give the man whatever dignity he deserves, and let him rest peacefully, as well as allow his kids to honor their fathers name and legacy. (Respectfully) There's president's who are worshipped and honored, that has done worse crimes to humanity than OJ Simpson. Nobody's villanizing the president's who allowed Black people, to be tree ornaments, or the president's who have militaries over in 3 world countries committing crimes against the inhabitants. OJ was found NOT guilty, which makes him a innocent man. And if you can show respect to every racist president, who's ever owned a Black person, you can show the same respect to someone who was found NOT guilty in a court of law.

I don’t think that’s true - just another uninformed opinion. Anyone who watched that documentary - really one of the best of all time - would know that the amount of forensic evidence and evidence in general plus the tragic history of his violent rages and domestic violence (it’s literally captured on the 911 calls) plus the way his brilliant lawyers manipulated the jury ( with his arthritis and including hanging up pics of black people in his house when before he had pics of himself and white people) believe he did it. Most were okay with him being found not guilty because they thought it was payback. Not to mention he wrote that insane book and taunted the Goldmans. And his friends eventually believed he did it too and they were heartbroken. I really really wish people would start talking facts again someday instead of the millions of uninformed “opinions.” It’s so bad. Like seriously shame on John. OJ didn’t have the temperament? Hey. O-J viciously murdered two people. He should have spent the rest of his miserable life in jail. 13 years was a gift. Also, he only served 9 years.
@ARIZJOE

I have always enjoyed John's intelligence and his personality. But not here. O.J. did many, many acts of domestic violence perpetrated against his ex-wife. And the way the murder went down, with the slashing of Ron Goldman's throat, and the rapidity with which he killed two people dead, it all points to a powerful athlete from the National Football League. An ordinary criminal could have never meted out that violence in such a short time span.

Then you didn’t watch the amazing documentary. Didn’t have the temperament? Wtf Then listen to the 911 calls of him in violent RAGES in the background with Nicole sounding terrified. She literally told her friends/family if something happened to her it was him. He wrote a book called what? Because that’s what a normal innocent person would do. And the way he taunted Ron Goldman’s family. Get out

Their is so much to suggest he did it . An innocent person doesn't flee with a passport and money , and lead cops on a freeway chase . And have a gun with him , Why in the hell would he do that if he was innocent ? he had money and could get the best attorney's to prove his innocence . The night of the crime he didn;t answer the door for his limo ride to the airport . When he finally came he wouldn't let Kato take his bag , something he would normally do . Top it off with a slash on his finger , he originally said he didnt know how he got it . And yeah the crime just happened to be done with a knife . And he was cut the same time period . Of course he did it
@tanja0411

@@SJ-ty5rw thank you. These people are so nuts it’s scary. And people have forgotten about the glove I guess? Yeah it didn’t fit because they stopped giving him his arthritis medicine but the main point is that it was an expensive glove that most people wouldn’t have and they showed the receipt that he bought it. But why care about facts or evidence these days when you can have uninformed worthless opinions. I will never listen to John Salley again. OJ didn’t have the temperament? Tell that to the cops who constantly went to their house when she was beat up and scared. I wonder how he would have felt if that were his sister or daughter. Disgusting.

As was stated. Simpson was acquitted by a jury of his peers. Also, once that lead attorney perjured himself. That alone is reasonable doubt.

The “glove thing” was a problem. Period. Something just didn’t smell right. The issues with abusing is ex wife, now that definitely gave “pause.” Unless OJ was absolutely insane, it was just hard to fathom that someone of such a high profile who already had been on notice to police and the Brown family for assaulting his wife, ex wife, it’s just hard to believe he would do such a thing. But who really knows. 😮

I think the case itself was jacked by the investigators, whats the policy of the restaurant that Nicole went n left her sunglasses was. What did it say to employees, when a client left their belongings behind, do they after work take them personally to their place? With regards to Ron Goldman's wrongful death. That one was never touched. I think the family should have brought that up?

I agree with ya he didnt do it. Hes not going to Kill Nicole while the kids are upstairs asleep and might waken and see. If he wanted he had the opportunity to do it before while Nicole invited other men to come over while the kids where there asleep on orher night and there where other nights . Blood what little of ojs was planted by the rascist detective. Godman fought his killer . He had bruised nuckels and cracked skin on his nuckles . He connected to some teeth no marks on the juice. And Nicole was said to have dried blood under her finger nails that was said that did not match ojs blood. Said by Johnny Cochran. Trail would have been over on Nicoles nails alone. But Johnny also knew by looking at those gloves they werent worn by oj. They belong to a man with small hands. What about the blonde hair that was found in those gloves that didnt match Nicole or oj? Glenn maby or mr. Kato remember the glove was found behind Katos bungalow at rockingham. Those gloves where more like Katos size. Or the detective planted the glove there. Remember Kato was never looked at as a suspect even though he had lived with Nicole at one time. The kids where there also. Oj didnt have a problem with that. There are others that should have been looked into . They only went on ojs domestic corals with Nicole. But that dosnt make him a killer.

Simpson was famously acquitted: The gloves didn't fit. But in the civil trial, the shoes did. Plaintiffs' attorneys introduced 30 photos of Simpson wearing size 12 Bruno Magli shoes he had denied ever owning. Those "ugly-ass shoes,” as he called them, were the kind the killer had worn.
