Jesus Piece is a very underrated album of his that rarely gets the acclaim it deserves, in many ways it gave him a second half of his career when people were starting to forget about him…I’d put it as his 4th best after the first 3 which is hard to do after being relatively quiet for 4 years 😂

Jesus Piece was an Album!(ALBUM) In every sense of the word, which is probably why even Game was shocked that it didn’t go number one and was under promoted…No way Iovine would’ve had a project like that put on his desk in the earlier days and not put a bigger budget in marketing just wouldn’t have made sense.

Maybe it’s the psychological control of people during this period-the promotion & radio play; i think they need to have something close to nationwide hits on both ends of a decade to be cemented (3-4 albums/sets of hits). (A) And who knows how much is done organically or how much is propped-up? How much of those systems do the ppI involves let them play out (artist & his reps/agnts/handIrs/execs). And with that, rarely do ppI who deserve it get it-and often it’s someone who literally soId their souI. (B) Left boiIed down to what side of this fight you’re on. I always wondered if he thought it was better for his mental, physical, & spiritual health that he stayed away for that club as much as he could afford-if he went up the ladder he couldn’t hide from them in Queens (shout out Myrtle Ave) or Connecticut. He’s close to it in LA & would have to play the role.
