Part 1: • Tony Yayo Tells Vlad H...
--------
In this clip, Tony Yayo discussed why the pressures of social media force people into lives of crime in order to support the lifestyle they seek to purport for others. Yayo called Vlad cheap for not switching up his designer outfits and expressed why he can’t understand how some men pursue sex even when they’re broke.

Being hood rich will keep you poor or get you killed as a black man in America. 1st Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

The more Yayo speaks, the simple minded he reveals himself to be. Even when he's "popping his shit" I get that same vibe. "Caviar pancakes" in every interview. Naming the places he's been in every interview. C'mon Yayo, most of those spots a nigga can do in the same day or over the weekend. When I went to Europe I went to like 7 cities. See people who don't know any better don't realize a lot of the places they hear of are CITIES not COUNTRIES. So it's no different than a person from outside the U.S. coming here and going to NYC, MIAMI, ATLANTA, DALLAS, then L.A. End of the day all they did was go on ONE TRIP to the UNITED STATES of AMERICA.

People often feel like the stuff makes the person naw your character makes you how you treat and respect and respond to people does that on its own all the materialistic stuff just add to your value if it needs to do so which it shouldn't but if it that means somewhere or something in that bothering you your using materialistic stuff to hide from it so you don't have to deal now it not saying having nice is wrong all I'm saying is the reason you have it determines that alot and if at your funeral if all people can stay is how nice you dressed and all the nice stuff you had and who you are is a struggle to bring that sad and I think we all know what really mattered to you to most and why with your lonely soulless ass how's about instead of worrying about the characters in your reality worry about the characters in you and instead of the value you place in stuff place it in yourself and make that matter.

The only minority group that cares this much about materialism are black people. It's a sad fact about my people and I really wonder what's the origin of this. I knew a nigga when I was in college this dude was working a warehouse job and saved up 3 paychecks to go buy a Gucci belt and some Gucci sneakers. Wow Rock Stars have a way different perspective on what they wear from the Rap World. Coming from the hood I remember when I use to think that way. Now I see the many foolish mistakes I made. That way of feeling kept me broke I've always buying expensive clothes sneakers and jewels. Once I evolved into a more righteous conscious being who learn to know thyself. I started to embrace better situations in my life. As they say the ghetto is a mentality. Somewhere along the line some of us learn to break that spell of how it can control you even if you come from it and will always be a part of it.

To make it simple, this generation with social media definitely puts pressure on many people to become “successful”. It’s sad that the car you drive can’t even be a couple of years old, the outfits you wear got to cost $1,000’s, your house has to cost 1 million or more, jewelry got to be flooded with diamonds etc. These days if you have a newborn baby and they not in designer it’s a problem lol

I find a lot of the designer brands a little corny sometimes too because I feel like a lot (not all) of people wear it just to get a response from other people. I’d rather have a clean fit, white T, clean sneakers and a Benz with an apartment than a closet full of designer. At the level I’m at. Of course there’s levels beyond that but If I had to choose. I remember when I was looking for an apartment last year. I was looking to rent one, not buy, but it was worth a few hundred thousand. I’m looking at the landlord thinking damn he must be doing well for himself because I think he owned a few of them. A few days later I see someone behind me in traffic driving what looked like a mf station wagon. It was the landlord.
