I went to Highland Elementary and Lockwood school with Felix in East Oakland we would walk home together trying to sing Doo Woop, sometimes I would stay for dinner at his house and remembering eating Red Beans and Rice with his Mother and Father at the Table, Felix was nicest person I knew being that young, I got transferred to a new Elementary School called Woodland and rarely saw Felix after that, years later he was still the nicest person ever, smart and generous, I would occasionally see him on the streets in 70s but I never really stopped to talk with him, everybody hung out at Quickways back then, I often wondered what would happen if we stayed friends.

Crazy enough, and I'm not advocating for drug kingpins, but when Fe died, D went to jail, the murder rate skyrocketed. Even when Felix 69 Mob and Mickey Mo and the Family on 23rd were at war, the death counts were relatively low. Because they were focusing on hitting the higher ups. The vacuum left behind after the big crews were gone, the Town went wild. That's when the murder capital shit started in the late 80s early 90s. I was a little kid, so it wasn't like I was out there like that, but I do remember a little, I definitely remember the climate in the Town changing for the worse...

Dogs And Yoga - I grew up on E. 25th St., the "Family on 23rd," (didn't know they were called that), did they live on 24th St.? If so I grew up knowing many of them... most older than me (b. 1961) and went to school with many (Manzanita, Roosevelt, Oakland High) of their relatives. I was always outside the drug culture and was (am) relatively a loner and only know little of the gossip about who was doing what. I live in that neighborhood for the majority my childhood, my parents moved there when I was about 6 mos. old (living at first on 21st. Ave., moving to 25th St. about 1966. As violent as it may sound to many, I was never bothered or harassed... no one ever coerced me... and my first offer of drugs was from a Richmond Police Officer who beat his girlfriend terribly (as told to) just before the day she was to report to work at the local (then) "quiet storm" radio station. I was probably in mid 20's before some offered me drugs (weed, cocaine - declined). Anyways thanks for evoking some memories.

It’s crazy how many folks speak on DJVLAD in negative way, intimating he is the police or at a minimum an agent for law enforcement. That shit is laughable! DJVLAD is a businessman who is in the business of entertainment. Dude can’t make anyone disclose any information that doesn’t have a statute of limitations. All he can do is ask trap questions, hoping that some fool, seeking attention, starts to bask in his days of yore; falls head first and starts talking. DJVLAD’s interviews are not an attempt to solve cold cases. The sole intent of his interviews is to continue to monetize his brand. The aggregate formula he utilizes is to create some compelling content which will drive more people to his website, thus increasing his viewership and the amount he can charge advertisers. Anyone who believes anything other than that is foolish. At the 6:01 mark of this interview, he attempts to apply his tried and true formula asking about any violence that Lil D might have witnessed hanging out with the MOB. A sucker would have spoken on the matter vaguely or simply said no comment, which implies the individual might have witnessed something. Lil Potna killed the question by simply stating the MOB kept him away from any violence and he knew nothing more than what was openly talked about on the streets and some conversations that he might have overheard. Lil D is not going to be tripped up by anyone! Dude remained solid, never cooperated and did 28 years in fourteen different Federal Institutions across the United States. How many of you so called gangsters who are involved in the streets would hold it down the same? Not too many!
