Azie Faison returned to VladTV five years after his classic interview with DJ Vlad. He began by revisiting his upbringing in 1960s and 1970s New York, revealing his mother had five children by the time she was 20 years old. Faison talked about Rich Porter selling heroin at the age of 12 and dropping out of high school, while he struggled to make ends meet working a 9-5 at a cleaners. He remembered "Scarface" changing people's perception of cocaine before he started selling the drug. He recalled making up to $50,000 per day selling crack and working with Alpo Martinez while Rich Porter was locked up. After Porter's release, the three would begin to work together. Throughout the remainder of the interview, Azie Faison detailed his experiences with Alpo, who was murdered earlier in 2021. To hear more, check out the full interview above.

If everybody followed his lead everybody would have been indicted, and snitched on each other in the end. There’s no honor amongst thieves. Facilitating coke in a community is the same as robbing the community.

I'm tired of hearing this story mainly because of Donnell Porter part. And especially on Azie lying about it. Rich Porter let his little brother bleed out a whole month including Christmas and New year's day. Alpo was a beast in these streets but Alpo was out of town during the kidnapping. Azie glorying Rich because Rich was his brother-in-law. Saddest part is the same people Rich Porter used to kill his best friend (Shawn Moe) little brother who was 14........ are the same people who killed his little brother Donnell Porter who was 12. RIP 🙏🏽 DONNELL 💐 PORTER ❤️

Like he said look at what happen to them It’s demonic Po killing rich and a 100 more people for no reason at all. And Darnell getting kidnapped and then murdered as a child for no reason. I wouldn’t want to relive that either. When I was living in that era I couldn’t stand it, I use to walk past all the drug dealers and I couldn’t smile. I couldn’t believe this was our life so I knew I had to do something Soon as I could work I did and then I decide to move in with my grand mother and I went to a different high school. I thought I was getting away from that life but it wasn’t that different it just wasn’t in your face like it was where my mom lived at. But it was still a better life change I see some of those dudes when I’m out and about and they look terrible or some still in prison or dead. It’s very sad what most of us black people had to witness growing up. Salute to Mr. Azie for making it out and still the one alive and not in prison to tell the story.

He was making good money and wanted everybody to lift from it. Wasn't greedy or selfish. Had Alpo had the same heart, there 3 would have all probably still alive. One died in prison in St. Louis, one crippled wit one leg, one did 17 years (remained silent though) got out in 2017 and died of a heart attack in 2020. I'm the last one left. IT AINT WORTH IT.

I knew one dude that won in the game! We came out the sandbox together. Hung until we were about 16. He started in the game. Small time. Nickel and dime bag weed. We didn’t hang a lot after that, but of course, was always cool. Mo went off to college, and homeboy graduated in up to everything else. Making dookie dollars. However, he stacked and stacked. During the day time, he took up trade school. Got certified as an electrician. Got a god job, got out the game, and used the drug money for a beautiful house, motorcycle, and clothes. I’m my area, he is the ONLY one I knew that did it for the reason it’s supposed to be done; which is get money mom the low, and get the hell out to the plan you originally have! He never got hemmed up! Avoided beef. Never did a hand to hand exchange. Got our clean on all fronts

But getting into the stories of Alpo being in DC and the people he ran into there like Earsdachrist and listening to his stories. It’s just super deep when you really do a deep dive into all of this. His logic and clarity is so enormous it just goes to show that CHOICE we have to make when we reach that split in the road traveled!! but he never let that period of success in the "game" change the TRUE CORE of the dare I say kind, conscientious, man he is!!! a leader of Men and WOMEN and I think it's very gracious of him to GIVE BACK in this manner and share this story in such detail with us all. Salute to AZ he should be allowed to speak in colleges around the world and get PAID IN FULL

This is not giving back coming on a platform talking about your glory days and now that you're broke and sick sharing the cautionary tale. You have to do a whole lot more to give back for the destruction he did to Harlem

I think what Azie went through is a teachable lesson. I know dudes who weren't fit who would be alive today if they had a dude like Azie step up and give em game. We all are sinning, especially if we follow the laws of this land. Be grateful it's someone out here dispelling the false myths that shows like Miami Vice and Power leave on the minds of our young people. Someone who lost a lot more than we ever have and gained nothing. As Black people, we need every Blessing we can get cause Lord knows everyone is out to destroy us, even us.
