Such a great interviewer. I’ve heard the story about Dan being better at guitar a million times but never about the pinky story. I’ve waited 10 years for someone to ask in detail about Dan and Jacks feud. Amazing job!

This group is probably the most talented people I’ve ever seen you interview. I saw the black keys live 5 times and I would go see them again. I’ve followed their career since I heard the first album. Such an epic rock duo. Their live performances have all been like a magic show with the guitar solos and guest performances. I saw the Turn Blue Tour and holy shit dude the guitar solo for “Weight of Love” was the greatest guitar solo I have ever witnessed

The cool American kid in my secondary school jazz band showed us Black Keys on the computer in 2009. I love the bluesy rock style of their music. It used to be played by cover bands in the pubs when I was out drinking as a student.

One of my favorite bands of all time is 15 60 75 The Numbers Band, who never made the "Big Time", but are absolute legends on the Ohio bar circuit. Owing to The Black Keys DIY approach & somewhat quirky catalog, I'd venture to say these boys have hoisted a beer or two while listening to Robert Kidney & co. in some dive, & after listening to a few of the BK albums, I'm happy to say they've made a fan out of me. Rock on, boys!

Wow... and to think I saw the Black Keys & the White Stripes (not on the same bill) for like $35 each back in the day. When I heard the bit about TBK selling out Madison Square Garden in 15 minutes, twice no less, that really brought it all home.

I’ll be honest the Black Keys are hands down one of the best bands of the 21st century and I love hearing their story but I will say the two times I’ve seen them they played their songs a bit quicker than the album version. After hearing a song a certain way hundreds of times it kinda throws you off when it’s played sped up, but idk maybe I’m the only one with this opinion

Glad streaming services were discussed (41:00 - ish) but I disappointed by the "it should be made more fair" answer. Streaming services have completely obliterated the music middle class. If Spotify isn't "making a profit" - where did Joe Rogans $200,000,000 payment come from? Thank you for your content - always top notch. By the way, Ralph Carney (Patricks Uncle?) was an inspiration and a friend. I miss him.
