Name drops Pavement... Nice! In the 90's Beck and Cake hit me fast, then did not discover My Bloody Valentine & Pavement till much later. Still listening to all these bands today. Took the Pavement to Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks path too. Check out SM & The Jicks album Mirror Traffic produced by Beck. Been getting a bigger appreciation for Black Keys in the last few years. Music done right! Great interview.

I grew up in Akron and I’m 8 years or so older than Pat but got to see them in tiny bar in downtown Akron around 2001-ish? Amazing show. Glenn Swartz opened for them. Wow. One of my buddies told me Pat washed dishes at the Mustard Seed back-in-the-day. ‘95? Probably ran into Dan at Record Exchange on Market Street more than once looking for Jon Spencer Blues Explosion CDs. Stoked for the new record.
