Jackson made his music with his mouth for producers to copy. It’s just a fact. That’s why most jackson hits written by him, like dangerous, Billy Jean… etc etc say “written and composed by Michael Jackson” on the sleeve. I’ve heard the home demo tapes of beat it etc and Billy Jean and they were layered on tape he sang the drums , the baseline etc on beat it he sang that guitar riff bro. The dude sang his music and then put vocals on top. Producers like Quincy literally had to copy what Jackson was conveying

The “Michael” album released in 2010 a year after Michael died was a way for fans to grieve the loss of our icon and part ways with the loss. The fact you used another man’s voice to sing music we thought was Michael- and now we find out bc your caught 10+ years later is BULLSHIT. You don’t care. Nobody in Hollywood cares. @@D.A.Y.O Yeah, I get the difference exactly. I'm in the music business. I've produced music. There are producers by trade who have a signature sound and are paid to "finish" your song and make it fit into a certain genre or trend. Producers know their equipment inside and out and have their go to instruments or go to session players that they call to get a certain sound. Then you have people like MJ who get producers "credit". Maybe he was in the room and gave Quincy Jones or a Teddy Riley a couple of suggestions and then he got put on the album as "co producer". Maybe he made a couple of demos and then passed them on to real producers who finished them. Bottom line, MJ never produced any of his own albums solo, not did he produce other artists albums. He HIRED producers. No producer hires a producer.

You can listen to the Dangerous version Teddy is referring too. It sounded more like it should be a song off Bad...very 80s MJ vibes produced by his engineer but composed by MJ. They wanted Teddy to see what he could do to make it sound more relevant & he basically gave it new life which really impressed the engineer. I forget his name(he passed away recently, an old white dude) but the engineer ended up only producing the ballads on the Dangerous album(all composed by MJ). The only new jack swing song MJ composed on the album was Jam which again was given to Teddy & he turned it into a full song. Also, supposedly the original MJ version of Joy was uptempo & sortve a house song. Other songs that didnt make the album were used for the Blood on the Dance Floor EP(which in my opinion the 2 horror themed songs seemed to be Teddy trying to create MJ's next Thriller style song hence the spooky lyrics lol). MJ also had been hired to do an Addams Family film song w/ Riley after this album but the demo(which is on youtube) got scrapped because of the allegations against him so they used MC Hammer instead. Back to Dangerous, In the Closet & She Drives Me Wild were very much coached by MJ cuz he wanted TR to produce songs using original sounds that nobody uses. Thats why you get all the car honking, car door slamming, & glass breaking on those songs & Jam. Almost all the percussion on She Drives Me Wild arent drums but samples of real sounds & noises. Dont forget MJ himself made it his style to beat box & use that as part of the percussion & groove of many songs. Plus MJ would snap his fingers while singing so you can often hear that under the snares lol. When he really liked a take, he'd settle on it even if it was just the demo. Alot of takes from the In the Closet demo are in the final song(mainly background vocals). That whole thing Kanye does where he mutters & mumbles a melody until he figures out the words....he got that from MJ, but 90% of the time he would re-record actual lyrics where as Ye be leaving that nonsense in the final record lol. The last sortve bridge part in In the Closet though were Mike is singing "something about you babeh" where he starts going off was one of the few times MJ left the mumbling demo in the song. When you hear him saying what sounds like "Smile bebeh" & singing stuff you cant make out was him just vibing freestyling melody trying to figure out lyrics & how he wants to sing those parts but he liked it & couldnt figure out what to say so he left it in the final cut as sortve a background vocal. Also an interesting insight I noticed as a real fan: one thing MJ & Prince had in common & Ye for that matter is theyre all Pisces Moon signs. As a self proclaimed very creative Pisces Sun sign, it made sense to me to find that link as a possible explanation for the creativity. I was creative my whole life, Mike was, Ye was, & apparently Prince was(theres a video that came out recently of Prince as a little kid on the local news & people knew it was him because he looked & acted exactly the same as he did when he was grown...very opinionated & expressive lol). -Mr J(an upcoming artist bringing back new jack swing & real RnB...oh & my sources: all the Teddy Riley, MJ, & MJ related interviews that exist on the web lol)

I think that Madonna sort of copied or at least looked at the style of music, to me, that prince, janet, and mj were doing at this time. I think that she did a good job with her 1992 album and take a bow.
@jamarwashington64192 жыл бұрын
@@rvegas81 There was alot of style biting by errbody in the industry back then including MJ(wanting more funk to compete w/ Prince). Madonna however only really contributed to her lyrics. She was the beginning of the industry plant era where you found artists who "produce" always needing their magical phantom "co-producer" there to make the magic. You quickly note who the real song writer is though when she co produces w/ someone else & loses her entire sound as that producer goes on to magically still have it w/ o her lol. In other words, she was & still isnt a song writer nor producer & even most all her lyrics needed actual professionals names listed as i presume they did most the work their as well. Throw in the fact that she cant even really sing(acapella for instance, her voice aint it)& it becomes clear why she had to sell sex to sell records. She is the Lucille Ball of her era: highly esteemed & remembered but pretty much 100% the product of the people working behind her & little else w/ o them. J-Lo is another case except she could dance well. True talents like Mariah Carey even borderline went this path hence her fallout w/ her producer Walter Afanasieff who did all the ballads on the Emotions album. She didnt like him producing for Celine Dion(a less soulful singer w/ a stronger voice) & revealing to the world that the songs Mariah "co wrote" w/ him were 90% his sound via Celine's first album w/ him sounding partly like the Emotions album(backup singers & all). They fell out over her diva pride & jealousy as she too was a wild child behind the scenes sleeping her way to the top(despite actually having talent unlike Madonna). He abandoned that ballad style overall out of respect & gave Celine a new ballad style hence that Titanic theme. He used it maybe once more years later in a more modern style for Tina Arena(song called No Shame). Mariah worked w/ him on albums after that situation because he made hits for her(like that Christmas song)but she was feeling him less & less til she finally dropped him & refused to work w/ him despite fans questioning why(cuz he was still friends w/ her ex who put her in the industry). I guess my long winded point is the industry was a mess. Even MJ has private calls leaked where he shat on Madonna being a wild & mean spirited person who felt upset she wasnt on his level(cuz female fans scream louder for men & her male fanbase whom her sex appeal reached dont scream at shows like females lol). So giving credit where its due, salute to her producers for her better work, not her lol. Even Lord Jamar peeped that her debut was her being given an urban black sound lol. That Celine album i mentioned was the same...the cringe music videos are funny to watch(that whole "see i lack rhythm but im cool w/ the blacks" vibe lol). Mariah still jealous of her to this day for out singing her on multiple occasions.

Y’all gotta see madonnas take on why he didn’t want to move forward with her on “Keep it in the Closet.” It was simply creative differences. They were working on writing the song together, and Madonna wanted to push the envelope further with the concept and the lyrics, since the term “Keep it in the Closet”, would have been quite provocative at the time. MJ just wanted the innuendo of the song title at the time. Gotta remember, this was around the same time that she was in her “Sex” book era, and was just wild with “adult” themes. Either way, the Dangerous Album was fantastic and they both are simply ICONIC.
@jamarwashington64192 жыл бұрын
She was an industry plant from the get go. Wrote nothing on the debut album & aint got a voice worth hearing twice. She relied 100% on gimmicks: producers, white girl doing "urban" music, & later "hey look at me, im taking off my clothes!". Like the industry did often, they salvaged her by listing her as co producer on many songs which i suppose she was in a DJ Khaled do nothing but capitalize on the producer's work sortve way aka executively produce. Mike had already saw her as wild & nasty by then(sourced by his leaked phone calls)& as someone who would write 50 plus songs before making an album, he likely was just testing the waters & like she said, wasnt interested in her nasty twists. Good for him lol.
