Part 1: • Twista on How Hip-Hop ...
_______________________________
In this clip, Twista spoke about being in the Guinness Book of World Records for his rapping abilities. From there, Twista gave an example of a fast verse, then broke it down by rapping it slow. He noted that it’s difficult to rap some of his fast verses slow because of the mindset he was in to come up with those bars. He described it as surfing through the beat. From there, Twista shouted out the newer artists he feels are carrying the torch for faster rapping.

Cause most of them aren't even skilled artists, so there's nothing to respect others for. Along with many other reasons tho.
@lucifermorningstar6169
@lucifermorningstar6169 5 жыл бұрын
@@vindicatino skill is a matter of opinion which is inheritly subjective. Everyone has a different variant of talent whether or not we like them. Some maybe more than others. But even if unskilled in technique they are definately skilled at standing in front of a crowd which most people wont ever or cant do. Song collaborations blow up more than anything because even if theres a "untalented artist" the unison and energy they can produce is powerful. If your able to emotionally affect people musically you have a level of skill, even if its not a sound others enjoy. I hate country but some of those artists are talented, even though i dont like them. Nikki manaj pisses me off and i can't stand her but she can stand in front of a crowd and act a persona and somewhat emotionally affect a crowd, which even though it pains me to say is a skill. Thats the perspective of a growth industry. The other perspective is a self destructive violence fueled industry. Nobody can technically define music as its all subjective. We should build on each other musically not musically tear down others.

Because these "rappers" today aren't the creative minds that they used to be. Even the rappers that wasn't about thug life that wasn't about hoodshit spoke real about their lives. These days you got fake ass rappers. A bunch of wannabe musicians who don't do it for the creative aspect. They do it for the greed. And it's because of that greed that they have no respect for anything or anyone. It's sad what such a powerful genre has turned into. And I know people will be like times change you know music evolves. But evolving was being 80s rap in the 2000s rap. What's happened since about 2008 or so is devolution of the genre. Go from fantastic lyrical acrobats, to these first-time tumbling, Mumble rappers

Yes. And in the Beef III DVD, Both Twista and Layzie broke down the "beef" and how it made no sense even to them. They buried that bullshit early, and have remained Brothers since then. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I’m from Houston, so you know we like our music screwed and chopped down here. But my love for music has always been in the Midwest. Twista, Bone, Crucial conflict, Tech. There will never be anyone like them. Twist is crazy underrated. His intellect with the word play at the speed he’s going is crazy. The man can lyrically Annihilate 90% of what’s out these days. Don’t sleep on em. ✌🏻
