Perspective. Everywhere was wild in the 90s but in different places the wilding happened for other reasons. Team Big was from BK and in NY the wild shit was mainly hustlers warring over buildings. It had a solid reason. Criminals killing over dirty business. In LA on the other hand they were Gang Banging. Hard. The killing was just because you're from somewhere else or wearing the wrong color in the 90s. So those guys were able to kill for nothing in LA. And it was apart of they hood culture. Kill. Go to prison. Become a legendary gang member. That was empowering for them. Now you in their backyard and a handful of Gang Bangers set they eyes on you over some beef you thought was over once Pac died. Because in NY that's how it worked. That's what made sense. Not in LA though. Unfortunately.

Cease not lying either....LA got a lot of luv for Biggie.......They had a huge mural of Biggie painted on the side of Fat Sals building, not sure if it's still there today, but it was a few years back

@@knowsmusic6983 Yeah but it clearly was only a handful of ppl and not everybody. I'm sure a handful of ppl didn't like them back home in NY. Who would let that make them leave across the country? I wouldn't. Especially when we been coming to LA for years. Years. They had friends, fellow rappers, actors, etc in California. That they knew for years by this point. Snoop said he knew Big since 93. Before all the drama happened. See what I mean? This was a time BEFORE rappers started getting killed, it wasn't a thing like that for major rappers to be killed. So the mindset was different- rappers used to chill in the hood and on the block all day back then. Most of their videos were shot in the hood. They were comfortable in those types of environments. The internet as we know it today wasn't a thing- so nobody was tracking you down back then. They could only see you when they saw you. I didn't Know before this interview that they were out there for months. I thought it happened pretty soon after they landed. So Cease just added a bunch of perspective for me. I would've been right in LA too. Hanging out and enjoying myself.

Man just the whole 90s era was larger than life! Life in herbal general was more exciting yet chill at the same time. I know I'm being nostalgic but whatever the 90s was the 💣 (another 90s term) 😉

Cease definitely contrasting Gene Deal's account of things in this interview, but then again they had two different perspectives since Gene probably had more insight into what was going on with Puff and the business side of things. Good to hear different sides of a story
