@@AustereEchadh yes if a boxer fights a wrestler, he needs to end the fight quickly. But we are not talking about MMA fight, we are talking street fight. And street fight usually starts face to face, and usually a punch is the first throw. Even in pro MMA fights, wrestlers don't always start wrestling, they throw hands first till they find the opportunity for takedown.

Have you ever taken a Muay Thai class in the US? They DON'T teach you any defensive techniques. It's mostly a cardio based kickboxing class. If you are not serious about getting any shape, you are not going to be a good fighter. To me the ultimate striking style is kyokushin karate + boxing or uechi ryu karate + savate. Aside from boxing the other three kyokushin, uechi, and savate it's very difficult to find those classes in the US. Dutch kickboxing is really good self-defense, so is Savate, or any legit form of karate that's not a mcdojo, is much better at self-defense than Muay Thai.

That intercepting in jkd is beast mode. Astronomically effective. I sparred my mma trainer and won.

Bruce lee said out of all fighting arts boxing had the most truth . Most martial arts today are for show because they are not how they were back in ancient times . Boxing has always been lethal .Even in ancient times musashi said the various schools in japan were useless wind . Not all fights go to ground ,i have had many street fights and never went to the ground not once .

@@culturevulture5600 yes but we are talking about street fights. Where the majority of men have no training in any combat sport. What do we see in MMA fights? Even wrestlers start on their feet and throw hands, till the opportunity to shoot appears. So in a street fight, chances are they will exchange hands, giving the boxer the advantage

I took combat Sambo for 7 years, and had full contact sparing against pure strikers, pure Jujitsu practitioners. In a sparing matches, pure strikers got manhandled by wrestlers and grapplers. About 50/50 when it came to jujitsu practitioners. When it came to an actual full contact match, wrestlers destroyed both strikers and jujitsu practitioners.

Note to people who will say that Wrestlers will beat Boxers ... It's the street fight aspect. Boxing is better suited for distance and erasing the threat with minimum contact nd proficiency. However, wrestling is definitely more of a threat in combat overall.

Yeah it had to be either wrestling or boxing. I was waiting for this part and I called it. Wrestling is a very very powerful martial art, and even more importantly, wrestlers are very very strong people. I would say wrestling and boxing are very close to each other in terms of self defense for everyday street fights. Everything else is just everything else.

Vladtv why do you keep asking Michael Jai White what's the best fighting style? He's never fought professionally. He don't know. You should've ask Jorge Masvidal. Stop asking Michael Jai white and ask real fighters like Ken Shamrock and Jorge. MJW clearly don't know.
