Glen "Big Baby" Davis Tells His Life Story (Full Interview)

Glen “Big Baby” Davis sat down for his first-ever VladTV interview, and he started off by speaking about growing up in Baton Rouge with two sisters, and he detailed how his mother battled addiction. This led to Glen and his sister being put in foster care when their mother was arrested, but his life turned around when he went to live with a man named Collis Temple Jr., who was the first Black man to play varsity basketball at LSU. After losing his love for football, Glen started getting interested in playing basketball, and he excelled so much that he went on to play basketball at LSU. Glen then spoke about not finishing out his senior year at LSU to join the NBA draft, where he was picked up by the Boston Celtics. Glen continued to speak more in the interview about his NBA career and what happened when he got out, which you can hear more about in the full interview above.

I love Glenn's love for his mom and the way he was truthful without degrading her. Vlad's questioning and inferences are terrible as usual; hence, why I rarely watch his videos anymore. Can someone tell if Vlad is paying individuals for interviews? If not, I'd tell any athlete or entertainer outside the dominant culture to consider interviewing with outlets that are empathetic to their plight. Glenn, thank you for your transparency. Lastly, there are a bunch of great podcasts out there right now that will be empathetic to the plight of marginalized experience in America.

It is so amazing how clear it is when you gain some type of status in your formative years and have no way of really appreciating the word friend. I've heard countless interviews of stars sharing experiences with the people they grew up in their neighborhood, and one thing that I always hear that makes me so proud when individuals grass my firm hand, and mind stayed on the dreams that they're being led to achieve in life because of their performances and sports and academics. You always here that the most rough toughest gangster type individual says get out of here. What are you doing here? Go home, you don't belong here! You're going to make it, and you're going to make us proud. All of those things that tells you that there used to be a code for corrupt, thorough men in the street life. For anyone who didn't know what they were getting into, because their eyes were bucked wide open trying to soak up all of what's going on around them, and their negative environments. So big baby saying that his "friends" told him to come fight! When we're told that as a child, NO ONE GETS IT! That's when you learn that they are simply the people that you grew up with. But your life is taking you on an alternate journey, that the slightest thing could knock the train off of the rails and everything comes crashing down. Those were not his friends. They were simply his associates. Because friends don't do that.

@@mellysworld9584 honestly I don’t know her personality and I 100% admit it with no shame. It’s the annoying high pitched voice that’s the main thing. Normally for me it’s hard when It sounds like a high school kid interviewing someone like Kurupt. These are og’s I grew up listening too and I feel Vlad is in the pocket. I like the other guy interviewer, I know he went hard in the G-unit era if I’m not mistaken. Baby girl could interview maybe more current artist which if judging by voice I would assume the age category is roughly the same. I tend to watch those interviews less but I still give them a shot. The channel overall provides interesting content and I get a pleasant surprise every now and then from the newer artist to the older folks and mafia guys etc.
