Former Terror Squad member Cuban Link opens up about Big Puns struggle with weight while recording his second album, as he reveals the rapper was recording in a bed at the studio when he was around his heaviest. Cuban Link also recalled Pun going to a weight loss facility and losing weight, but gaining it all back.
In the end, Pun couldn't overcome his weight gain issues, and he died of heart failure. To hear what Cuban Link had to say about Pun's death, hit the above clip.

Yeah that’s true. When my best friend died about 10 years ago I fell to my knees when I found out. Never felt that kind of grief before. And I had just gone through a traumatic experience myself. I was in the hospital for a month, jaw wired shut for 3 months.. I hadn’t seen my friend in like 2-3 years and he came to see me when I got home from hospital. It was a Friday and he died that next night Saturday/Sunday morning. I always will miss him. But I am grateful that I got to see him that one last time and it was a beautiful day we were sitting outback in the sun just talking. He was so happy I was still alive and I was so happy to see him again.

The way people look at race here is different than on the islands. In puerto rico, you could be white, black, asian, whatever, they'll still refer to you as puerto rican. So when he says Black he means african-american. As for him saying nigga, that's new york shit. In new york we're all raised together. Damn near living on top of one another. Joe's wrote his own lyrics, but later on he did have his ghost-writers. Pun was the main reason why I started listening to Joe. After "J.O.S.E." he had lost his touch. As far as best besides Pun. I'd say it would be either Prospect or Triple Seis. It's a shame neither of them has an album and only featured on several tracks of Pun and Joe. I always thought Remy Ma was dope too. Her debut album could've been better though and was long overdue as well.

Are you saying Cuban has also been interviewed about Tony or are you asking if I watched Vlad's interview with Tony? I saw that interview...Tony definitely comes across as a coke fiend these days.

Mehrunissah93 I must've misunderstood your statement. I thought you were implying that Links is the only person getting interviewed about pun.

It's okay. It can be hard to understand what's written over the internet, sometimes. I know others get interviewed about Pun, but the only time I see Cuban Link get interviewed is to be asked about Pun, not about anything Cuban has going on in his life.

It's sad because now I really see how Rios was so young when he died. He was just a young man full of life. This is a tragedy and Cuban Link is such a loyal man.
