In the 90s I was working in a furniture factory some guy saw I was listening to Snow in the lunch room he was like guess what everyone Nathan likes Snow and this bas Ass Jamaican guy named Patrick no one messed with Patrick He was like yooo man what's wrong with Snow? Buddy trying to make fun of me sat down and shut up 😆 🤣 Then next day Patrick gave me a ride home turns out he is a dj on the weekends we listened to Snow and were singing and we started doing it every Friday listened to all sorts of good Jamaican music fun times

What're you gonna do except seek out the best music, anyway? ;-) That is how I look at it. It's not as if I had a choice. I did not grow up with it. I got into Bob Marley in college, but King Tubby is really what converted me. Now, most music that I listen to is reggae--hours a day, on average. I'm into Calypso, too, but reggae is my one true love, lol.

Not a huge vlad fan but I gotta give you props for this. I loved informer when it came out, I was in middle school. then I thought this dude was an imposter but man sounds like he has a more authentic background then most rappers today. When you got fakes like Rick Ross that stole another man’s name and was a CO! Just goes to show you can’t judge a book by its cover, you skin color does not make who a person is. Nice to here his story and his respect for the people and place that the music comes from.

Lol. I believe he is speaking of the island, Montserrat. They have a decent size Irish community. He is not quite correct about the Irish in Jamaica, there are Irish in Jamaica but they were indentured servents, not slaves. Quite often they were also overseers too 🙃
