I am 40 and am proud to say the "old heads" give the best interviews. I respect the young cats, much success, but the old heads have a knowledge that is worth listening to.

Hardly. He definitely did some cool things, like what's mentioned here. But fact of the matter is, he tried to be something he really wasn't, and in the process, perpetuated negative black stereotypes and glamorized a violent lifestyle. The end result, unfortunately, was losing his life. And for what? His talent and intelligence are undeniable, but he made some pretty horrible choices that, from what I can tell, were very much in conflict to the person he truly was. Looking up to a sociopathic piece of shit like Suge Knight certainly didn't help anything. Whether negative or positive, he was in a prime position to be a role model for young black people, and the negative definitely outweighed the positive. Singing songs preaching about peace and harmony don't really matter much when you're very publicly engaging in behaviour that espouses anything but that. You can get mad and say I'm wrong or full of shit, but in your heart you HAVE to know I'm right. How many young black males do you think carried a gun and wore colors because they saw 2-Pac doing it and they wanted to be like him? Considering his popularity, I'd say pretty fucking many. And honestly, I'm not even necessarily knocking the whole gang life persona. I just don't like seeing him praised for hypocrisy. The saddest aspect of the whole thing to me, is that I 100% believe that if he would have lived, he would have gotten out of that and been the super positive role model he had the potential to be. He was an EXCELLENT actor (better actor than rapper in my opinion), who had been acting since he was a young man. Unfortunately he decided that being the guy who acted in Shakespeare plays wasn't a cool enough persona to endore publicly. He was corrupted by Suge Knight, like almost everything and everyone Suge Knight came into contact with. With Pac's intelligence, HE deserved to be in the position Suge Knight was in.

UMAMIMAMU I must say, this might be one of the realest analysis of Pac I’ve come across. He didn’t have to go down the path he ended up going down; as you said that is the one of the saddest parts. He achieved unprecedented things while alive, and has inspired millions in positive ways; but he could’ve gone into do things that would’ve been inexplicably wonderful for the impoverished communities. Nipsey was about to take it to yet again, ANOTHER level musically and for his community; but the life somehow catches up to you. It’s sad, but true. I wish they both lived for decades upon decades longer. I am 20 years old, and I try to delve into times gone by, and attain wisdom & knowledge. I hope to carve my own path in my lifetime, and impact the people of tomorrow, the people of today and the people of yesterday; in our impoverished communities to reach their individual greatness financially and in life.

@@UMAMIMAMU he didn’t perpetuate the negativity, he exposed it. If you listen to his music from the beginning it tells about his experiences. In his own words he did say people focusing only on the negative is a problem but he hadn’t figured out how to combat that yet. That was an interview in 96 with mtv. It’s also known that when he got out of jail he was the most paranoid. I believe that protection that Death Row provided is what he felt he needed at the time. Remember the guy was shot 5 times and went to jail right after. Of course his next record was going to anger.

The throwback years of 2001 starting with the TB jerseys, up to 2004 when the Adidas suits big gold cables Kangols Pony Puma and all the old brands coming back. That opened the door for the vintage run of 2007-2010 which was wearing purposely worn down beat up old jeans and shirts and old pieces like coats blazers jackets sweaters etc. All of that opened the door to where we are now where nothing is out of style and in most cases the older the better. Even on the runways 70s style clothing, patterns even materials are in big time. Late 2016 everybody started rockin turtle necks and blazers and I mean everybody, that was a 70s look. So it's like KK said it aint about what's hot or brand names or what's in "style" it's about what is legit and what looks good on you and how you rock it. Nowadays fashion is about styles which is totally about the individual and what they like. People have an appreciation for different styles now days. No longer is it "that sh*T is ugly I would never rock that" Now it's more like "that sh*t looks good on homey he hooked that up, I wouldn't rock it but it's dope...

Wow. A full seventeen minutes and not one negative comment shoved in Karl's face. Why can't *all* of *your* interviews with our people be this entertaining and informative Vlad? First time you've earned my respect. *Yet I can't ignore the wolf under the sheep clothing*

Im over 50 and relate to KK as a down to earth dude, funny he said his son named Karl Kani didnt want to rock his Karl Kani clothes, instead wanted to wear Supreme gear lol. Hes a legendary designer who I patronized and remember from the early 90s.

Kks clothing brings back memories in the late 80s and 90s..i didnt put his label in mind, but now as the fashion from 90s is back on..im having flashbacks! I remember thos baggy jeans and 2pac videos..I love KK💕. Adidas, Nike is to common. Everyone has it and doesnt make the brand special. Now i have to introduce KK to my children 🙌😍👌

I remember rocking Karl Kani heavy in high school in the early 90s. I had the boots and all. Tupac,Big and all the rappers had those clothes. The 90s were good. Phat Farm,Cross Colours,The Black College sweaters and fitted hats man Karl bring that shit back I'm tired of the tight ass ballclutcher jeans.
