Literally grew up with NE from the start. My friends, all of us white, SoCal kids near Disneyland, loved these dudes. We’d do talent shows and perform NE songs. Ricky is not lying about those weird extended performances by Bobby, they once performed at Disneyland in the mid 80’s on a stage on Tom Sawyers Island. The place was going nuts, and once Bobby got going he would not stop singing, was humping the whole stage, the boys had to just keep doing the same dance moves the whole time. Lol. At that time they had a banging performance of Prince’s I Would Die 4 U. To this day my friends still call each other by our NE names. I am Ricky.

I absolutely Love Ricky Bell and he has always been my favorite member of new addition and BBD. I’m glad that their movie did so well and that they’ve been doing so well on tour. New Edition got robbed, their contractual situation was a total scam. Ricky's and his wife are a beautiful couple. His wife is just a natural beauty, no stupid dead spider eyelashes, lace front wig, not wearing 10lbs of make up or silicone stuffed like a holiday turkey. Just quiet and demure, the supportive background to his foreground. They still look at eachother with so much admiration like they are still in the honey moon get butterflies when I see you stage of a new relationship.
