It’s a weird ass feeling when you get out from being locked up. Nothing feels real. I remember going to my Mom’s house, a house I’m very familiar with, and it all felt unreal. Like I was a stranger.

Us veterans go on deployments for 6 months to a year at a time and so much changes in that relatively small amount of time. You were probably floored at what all changed in that 6 years. I can't imagine that let alone 34 damn years!
