I'm happy to see that EDI dodged this. This is old history and it's been dissected 1000 times. The Soul Train awards incident in NY. Snoop has like 10 versions. Fatal refuted it a long time ago. Jungle had a version of what happen. In the end, Pac & Nas hashed it out. Suge went on record saying that Pac wanted anything Nas related off the album, & then he passed away. So, it's nothing about nothing. Nas & Pac had one of the most subliminal signs of mutual respect & competition. In "The World is Yours" video a kid had a bandanna a la Pac. Its known that Pac loved Nas. Me & My Girlfriend was inspired by I Gave You Power. 2pac only dissed Nas bc of the intro in The Message, even when Nas had his own small beef with Big. It's old history.

@D-Ice's baby brother EVERYONE is on record about Pac wanting the disses out. Look it all up. Pac was shot a short time later. It was a crazy amount of drama. Suge got locked up because of the Vegas incident. It fell through the cracks. Napoleon. Fatal. Suge. Edi. Buckshot. They've all said that Pac was being real on removing the verses about Nas. But he got shot shortly after. In middle of all that? You think that's what was on anyones mind? Theres a youtube video where Nas paused his show on the eve of the news that Pac passed. This is old history, & it's sad people still want this idea that Pac's beefs are still on today. 2pac had no personal beef with Nas, other than interpreting The Message as it was about him.
@CaliCool914 жыл бұрын
Pay attention to 'Pac's VIBE interview. He kept saying "How come it's not Hip-Hop when I do it?". The more and more I hear it really seems like 'Pac was on some "How to Rob" more than actually beefing. He wanted war on the mic and he wanted to give people a show. I guess trolling might be the term for it, but it just seemed like hip-hop tradition, battling to 'Pac at the time.

@lance Kelley you act as though Rakim can no longer hang with him bar for bar. You are outta ur mind if u believe that. Every single rhyme Rakim writes is crystal clear and eloquent. Nas muddles his rhymes with obscure jargon that doesn't even make sense half the time, it just sounds pretty. The only thing Nas has over Rakim is that he's consistently put out music over the last 26 years and Rakim hasn't. Take anything Rakim wrote in his prime and put it against anything Nas wrote in his prime and Rakim smokes his ass. And it would still happen to this day! Rakim gave birth to every lyrical rapper who's ever existed and changed the trajectory of rap forever. If u can't recognize the GOAT MC then u truly are blind.

Pac was just like Jordan. He was very competitive he took the culture serious and therefore had bars on deck for any emcees he saw was on the fast track to stardom. Nas was anointed the guy at that time so Pac aka MC New York had to give God Son both barrels of Fo Fo.

The reason Pac diss Nas is because Pac thought Nas dissed him on that song the "Message" which was on Nas 2nd album. But Nas was dissing Biggie on that song. I could understand why Pac thought the song was about him because it was hard to tell if Nas was dissing Biggie or Pac. But Nas later confirmed that the song was about Biggie. The beef between Big and Nas was something that was instigated by GhostFace and/or Raekwan. One or both of them told Nas that Big bit off his Album cover of Nas first Album. Before that Big and Nas was close friends.
