I'm not familiar with him or his interviews, but I felt like he almost wasn't listening half of the time and would ask questions she'd just answered or talked about. That was a little irritating, especially because she was so passionate about her answers.

This is so real. One thing I have always loved and noticed about Kelis is that despite her separation from Nas you NEVER heard her speak ill of him in the media. I always thought it was because she still loved him and secretly wanted to be back with him, but after this interview it is very clear that she was dealing with a lot of pain. Even in this interview you can see her reliving some of those moments. She is a superstar and I'm so inspired by the strength she displayed during this interview.

When she hit the scene she was very vibrant and unique. She was so different and naturally beautiful. I loved everything about her. When she said her son CHOSE to call his stepdad “Papa” that struck a chord with me. My sister took responsibility for our little cousin (aka my niece) when she was practically a newborn. One day, out of nowhere, I think she was about 3 or 4 years old, she started calling my sister “mommy.” And as she got older, when people would correct her, she would explain that she has two moms. A child can recognize when someone takes an active role in their life, no matter what age.

@@markobbanya1402 you missed my point! Nas paid for her culinary school btw! But he doesn't pay child support. Like I said if it were true he is a deadbeat then show reciepts. I really enjoyed this interview. I respect her transparency, not once did she place the whole blame on NAS, she took responsibility for the demise of the relationship. I dated a Narcissist, it can get really dark and toxic! You will act out of character etc... Crazy, if she didn't speak about the situation, you would've accepted all the rumors about her; she's crazy, golddigger etc...Once you truly heal from a toxic relationship, become self-aware of who you are, it won't matter what people think about you. People will hurt you, God will heal you. People will humiliate you, God will magnify you. People will judge you, God will justify you. Keep having faith (Kelis) God got you no matter what! Keep Nas lifted up in prayer.

Nicole Clark I'm not saying that nas isn't a narcissist as well. He almost has to be to have gotten to the level he is at.. not all narcissism is bad.. this woman is clearly toxic.. but she hides it very very well like most narcissists typically do. You hit the nail on the head... the vast majority of narcissists can bring out the worst in their victim.. I can guarantee that most of toxic the narcissistic behavior she claims nas has, she helped cause. She literally told on herself at the end. When she said she acted a fool and cursed and screamed at him.. and wanted to punch him in his face... the she caught herself and said " I walked away" then nas left.. she took NO accountability for him leaving.. NONE. this is clear cut narcissism..nas was FORCED to leave because of her TOXIC behavior.. then she trashes HIM for leaving.... masterfully.... THAT'S why he filed. ... I went through the exact same thing.. my kids mom is boriqua too... maybe it's that? I don't know lol. Thankfully i got my kid.. . I hope nas gets his son.

She’s 5”10 I know how to fight, I’m not weak, very opinionated and a bitch at times” I mean she said a lot!! I'm glad Kelis has finally told her story. For those wondering why she waited so long or why she didn't mention abuse during the divorce, does it matter? For the record Tina Turner never mentioned being abused until she released her book. Ike and Tina divorced in 1978, her book was released in 1986. While they were married she never called the cops and Ike was never charged with domestic violence. During their divorce proceedings Tina did not mention abuse either.

He not only abused me physically, but he controlled me. Nobody thought i could be in a relationship like that because id always been loud and goofy. Sometimes women look to fix men and forget themselves. It took me being in a coma for 3 days for me to leave and even then i thought about going back. She said there was abuse. She never said he abused her. Thats because she was the violent one. There have been reports out of Atlanta where they lived from restaurant workers and such that say they saw her putting hand on him often. Also, its funny that he just got $30M from a deal selling Ring to Amazon now she popping up wanting more money and now she abused. Not buying it. Because she says it, it doest make it true. No such thing as "her truth" there is only "the truth". Truth is absolute.

This interview is so real. her experience is so relevant to me. I went through very similar events in my life. Yes, soon as I had my child getting thru to him was a loss cost amongst other things. It was an indication and impromptu to getting the hell out and dodging fast for the benefit of my child. Her interview screams to my heart. It's on my top five. I don't want to knock any other interview off the list...but🤷🏿‍♀️. Then again 🤔 Is it safe to put these interviews in categories? As a viewer I'm so pleased to experience the growth of Hollywood Unlocked. Thank you !

Oh come off it. There is no evidence her claims are real. If she has proof why didn't she take him to court at the time? All bruises and no proof? Come. On. Why is this woman even speaking Nasir name now, she admits their relationship was violent, she gets paid 8k a month and has remarried. Move on.

Ladies, it would probably mentally benefit you to realize that: 1.) humans in the real world don't "just turn" on you with no prior warning signs. 2.) Needing his money as a matter of life and death BEFORE figuring out he's schizo is a stupid mistake, regardless how common the mistake is made by stupid people. 3.) If we separate time from space, her interview would make sense. But since this didn't happen all in one day, I'm pretty sure she's just bad at finding an appropriate remedy in a timely fashion.

Willa Wonka also thoroughly work on healing any trauma in your own past! That helps prevents us from ending up with people that are abusive/manipulative and also helps with raising our children better than our parents raised us. It’s so tricky and hidden but it truly is the root of a lot of subconscious tendencies.

Caroline No, its not. You do not know someone is going to abusive you. Most abusers hide it. Everybody in an abusive relationship did not have bad childhoods. They are manipulative as you said so maybe they stay due to trauma but unless you see them get angry you cannot tell until they hit you. You can pick up on things like putting you down. Mirroring, gaslighting but everyone isnt a textbook case

My sis sent me this interview bc it reminded her of me and my high profile ex husband. I cried for her and for me bc I know how it feels to have to be painted as a crazy baby momma when you are really the victim and quiet bc you don’t want more drama. The biggest critics are females who misjudge you. People don’t wait to hear both sides, they just condemn and repeat lies which hurt people. This man has destroyed my life in every way with his power and influence and I hv finally found the strength within to fight him back on all levels. I must say, if you survive narcissistic abuse and rise, then you are a god! That I have become and now I counsel and heal many others. Much love Kelis and other survivors

They were an adorable couple that many saw as a health relationship in Hip Hop but in truth we never knew. And I recall your adorable mother in your Food Network special.
