Vivek Ramaswamy criticized the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization, coining the term "Big Lavish Mansions" in reference to the luxurious homes purchased by some of its leaders. Ramaswamy expressed his belief that BLM fails to genuinely support Black lives, arguing that their policies undermine the nuclear family structure, which he considers crucial for the prosperity of any racial group. He noted that Black family stability was higher in the 1950s compared to today, attributing the decline to policies from Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society programs, which he believes created disincentives for family formation.
Ramaswamy emphasized that children from dual-parent households are more likely to graduate high school, avoid incarceration, and succeed economically. He criticized BLM for advocating the dismantling of the nuclear family, which he views as vital to lifting families out of poverty. Taking issue with the organization’s financial management, he highlighted how its leadership benefits personally from donations intended for community uplift, further adding that their houses looked a lot nicer than his.

I was in Philly for work and drove by there to see if Kensington was actually real. I have never seen anything like that in my life...the trash, the squalor, tents, people shooting up within feet of officers. I asked an officer why people weren't being arrested, and he said that as long as they weren't fighting, robbing, and shooting others, they could consume their drugs in that area. I asked him if the same rule would apply in Rittenhouse Square, and he just said that he was following orders. There is no political will to save Kensington...kind of like in the old series, "The Wire" where the Mayor and police didn't care if drugs were kept in a certain undesirable part of town.

A spouse's options to jump ship doesn’t offset or solve the fact that couples are and have always been toxically abusive… All the conditions of that time did was made it easier for people to veil those issues but the ability to divorce or find other resources didn’t resolve those problems despite popular belief so cut that narrative out too please. 😂
