Vlad, don’t try and impose your lack of faith on someone who says they are leaning towards God. “Well I talked with Neil and he said”…..stop the cap. Because Neil thinks there is no God?….thats your reason. Good one. Misery loves company and co signing. It’s easy to say nah I don’t believe. I was getting hype about him saying he’s open to God after his Dad passed. I lost my sister in 2015 she was young and lost my brother last year very young, and I have faith and hope in seeing them again because of my faith in God aka Jesus. You basically threw shade on his Dad and hope of seeing him again. Martin, if you read this, keep that open mind, keep searching, and have hope my guy. Don’t let Vlad bring you down.

Issue is you was hoping Martin was still Atheist, but once he started saying after his dad died he’s starting to think about God and hope, you slick tried to throw out Neil Tyson “he told me” as if Martin would be like “ah snap, then I’m back on that Atheist boat”. I mean why else would you say Neil Tyson told me….But hey I ain’t mad at you, I got friends that are agnostic.

I was working retail, didn’t know much, but would watch and got really interested. Picked up Brealey , Myers & Allen Finance textbook he recommended. Worked through it. Pursued a BBA did my own investing on the side. Fast forward many years later, I’ve had 6 year career in finance, start my MBA in September, and gonna take the CFA level 1. I wish i learnt most of these principles about seven years ago. A lot of people have been trapped strongly in the matrix. Sometimes Protecting your capital is much more important than making money. Basically because if you lose your capital, making money is much harder. ''Missing the train'' vs. ''losing your money''. There are a lot of trains, but if your money is gone, it's over.

I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.

There is nothing in science that disproves God. So saying the scientist in you doesn't believe is just your way of admiting that you don't have faith, don't understand faith, and have simply believed some video on KZbin about atheism
@Peanutbutta-ct4vn6 ай бұрын
Depends what you mean by God though. If you’re talking about an undiscovered higher being, then yeah, nothings disproved that. But if you’re talking about the Bible or Islam or whatever. Science has disproved a lot of it. Eg. The sun is actually millions of years older than the earth. But all religious creation stories say the sun was created days after the earth.

They don’t understand that the fall put the cosmos into a state of entropy and disorder. So yes there is great order to the world but also disorders as they state. They just don’t understand how that plays into the Christian understanding of the world. They assume that God would have made a perfectly ordered world for us to look at so any signs of disorder are viewed as an apologetic against God. But really that’s a feature of the Christian cosmology
