The moment we realize how little control we have in life, except for how we respond, it becomes easier. Also, don't think because you're a certain age, you should meet specific marks. I was 30 when I went to university for nursing, however, both my parents were diagnosed stage 4 terminal cancer. I ended up graduating but lost my mom and had to move back home to take care of my dad. He died last year on my birthday. Now here I am, doing a re-integration program because I couldn't work as a Nurse due to being a caregiver. Majority of my friends are married with kids and I am starting over, again. I am learning to try and find some peace and enjoyment during the ride. Don't let the fear of failure or comparing yourself to others stop you, life really is too short. So proud of you for being brave, you got this!

the last 10 years of my life have been dedicated to having leukemia, surviving, and trying to get back up, and now at 31 im working on my bachelors degree, and even though the circumstances of life were out of my control, it's hard to not be hard on myself. all of that to say your comment hit me right in the feels, so thank you for sharing and i hope things get better and better for you

@@alexandrahernandez2768 oh its so hard to get back up. I was in a pretty bad state after my dad died and somedays still am. I know you're probably strongly, but please be kind to yourself. Remember, what you have faced in your journey is going to bring you so many opportunities to shine and help other people. You have battle cancer and come so far, you are going to rock this. If I can do it, than so can you. Remember on the hard days, "sometimes, you can take life a day at a time. Sometimes, you can take just an hour at a time. And sometimes all you can do is this very moment, hand over hand, until the next moment is given"

Gosh that sounds really rough and I’m so sorry for the loss of both of your parents. I hope you’re doing well. Also I’d like to say this hit a note with me. I’m 26 with 3 kids that I stay home with. I’m constantly worried about how far behind I am because I had my first baby at 17 and never truly got to start my adult life the way I expected. I’m thinking of going back to school but am so afraid because idk what I want to do and I feel like it’s too late to start something so new and unfamiliar.

I had just reached 5 years at my retail job when I realized I was tired of it and felt stagnant, it also felt like upper management didn't care about us. It's incredibly important to put your mental health first if you can. Congrats to all of you! I feel pressured to figure my life out at 25 now too. I'm halfway through a master's for library science now.. you never know where you'll end up!

I live in Louisiana and we went through the Great Flood of 2016 where about half the state was under water 😬 my husband and I did not flood but my parents house took on about 3 ft of water….
