Great video, do you have a link for your sending units or a make and model . I think I may need a few of these. Our sensors have never worked. thanks

I wonder if can use this for solar panels, battery charger?

I use it to track how much nearby is go into the battery bank.

Great Job! It was so impressive. You installed many modules with sensors, as I saw in this video. What is the approximate electricity consumption? so beautiful gorgeous LCD Display and many sensors are working without resting. I believe they will consume a lot of power from the batteries. Is there any related information for that? I want to install the battery monitor on my travel trailer. Thanks.

I don't know the amount of power, but I think it is pretty low. The only thing really using any power is the screen.

Just into my install. Is it required to ground each device using the com port. I have 2x dc 500, one sc300, sq25 and st107. Just not sure if it’s required if you are not using the voltage sensor for that unit ?
@SVRockChalk3 жыл бұрын
I used a small buss bar to run the grounds to then ran the ground to the PICO unit.

@@SVRockChalk do you need the ground in the com port even if you are not using the voltage sensor on that particular shunt? Will it work without
@SVRockChalk3 жыл бұрын
@@Aboardsecondwind If you are not using a sensor you will not need a ground for it. I'm not at the boat but I think you no not need a separate ground for the shunt because it is the ground from the battery.

@@SVRockChalk thanks for the quick response. I am only monitoring two banks of batteries and I have five shunts so that’s great. I will only hook up the two voltage sensors. Is the com on the st107 a ground ? I have a pos and neg on each resistance tank sensor. Positive goes in the R1 and negative to com ? Would you just stack the wires for the com(neg) ? Or do you only connect the positive and com to a negative bus bar ? Sorry if the question seems overly simple
@SVRockChalk3 жыл бұрын
@@Aboardsecondwind I ran one neg to the added bus bar, then hooked the neg from the resistance sensors.

Hi I just subscribed and wanted to thank you for doing the same. Your video on Simarine is the best one on the internet, great job. How has it been working since the video? I read some not so favorable reviews with wifi failure. I love the look and function of it and I am thinking of pulling the trigger on purchasing one. Any thoughts or advise ? Thanks for the video

Thanks for the kind comment. I have not had one problem with anything so fare. The boat is up on the hard and it is the only way I have of telling what has or is going on. It is great to be able to come on the boat and get the info right away. It is a little work and coast some dollars but love having it on the boat.
