Renee you have a genius for a husband. He reminds me of my father who was literally a genius too. He's a instrument trained helicopter and airplane pilot too. I love your family. Such cool kids and you are the lynchpin holding it all together. God bless you in your travels and life. Huge fan here. -L.W.Hatcher

As a communications engineer, I am impressed with your workmanship. Working on boats is not easy. Three hours though, are you sure you didn’t mean 30? Making all this cable connectors and all. My rule of thumb when working in the marine industry is consider how long you think the job will take and multiply by 6. 👍

A clean install like that should be illegal. Lol. Excellent work mate, love the level of the organization. I own exact same system but not on a boat but in my converted van. Excellent unit and pretty simple to install with minimum wires.

hey Kieth, thanks for the vid, great info. Can you explain the reason for installing the two victron solar controllers, is it to accommodate the way you have your solar panels arranged connection wise ?

Was thinking about getting something like this for my SO469 to monitor power draws precisely. Need to look up if it calculates amp-hours drawn, as opposed to just voltage level; voltage level is a very poor way of determining status of charge, the best stuff counts amp-hours out. I just checked the owners manual for it and it says it uses its own algorithm which is better than just monitoring amp-hours out, so it definitely looks at more than just voltage. Not as expensive as I thought it would be, that Pico Blue package looks like a good deal.

Do the shunts and current measurement devices have to have network wires run to the splitter, or do the shunts communicate to the Pico unit via wifi or bluetooth or something? Just trying to plan out where to run the wires, if it's wired.

Please check your system. I am pretty sure my system is normal because only your old video pop-up notification as new video. All my other subscription did not do this, only yours that did this. I have watched your video for some time already(I liked your new boat). I even go back and watch all your video from the old boat. I'm looking forward to seeing you leave the Mediterranean and head to Caribbean and Pacific in your new boat(that is where all the adventure really begin). Anyway, whatever the problem, I hope you fixed it. It kinda let me down when I'm thinking the new episode has come but being disappointed that old video pops up again.
@yztiffitzy61326 жыл бұрын
The thing is, when I finally figured it out that it is the old video, I stop watching it. Another thought, did I ask your opinion? I just want the owner of this channel to know something not right, and it is getting troublesome.

didnt need to buy scq25 and a 107 module. could have just done it all with one unit scq25t. not sure why you have 500 amp shunts everywhere when you could have just used the 300amp model. solar wont go above 150 amps and your inverter is maxed out at 200amps and your main engines arent going to charge more than 120 amps......soooo. not sure who was paying the bill but who ever designed the system didnt know what they were doing and surely wasnt paying.

It's funny you try to be Mr wise guy. But you obviously don't know much about electricity A shunt measures neither current nor resistance. A shunt measures voltage drop. S.t.u.p.i.d.m.o.t.h.e.r.
