I am so blessed to have stumbled upon this guy at this time. I start radiation and chemo in a few days. This is the third time I've had cancer. Been in remission for ten years and now I have it in my tonsil, throat, and neck. His attitude and the way he handled himself with such courage and grace has been an inspiration!! I wish he would've been able to win his battle, but at least he's at peace and no longer in pain. Ty my friend!! You've helped me in more ways then you'll ever know!!!

My daughter was diagnosed at age 10. Spinal cord cancer, Ependymoma. It’s the roughest scariest rollercoastr I’ve ever ridden in my life, so I can’t imagine how she feels. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer while I was pregnant with her so I had no time to think about anything but getting well for her, and her older siblings. I was fortunate to catch it early enough. My daughter just turned 18; so still on this ride. Our new normal took us this long (8 years) to adjust to. RIP Daniel, Peewee Toms. You’ve forever made an impact on people all over the world. I'm late to the party but I'm glad I found you. You are an amazing/brave/inspirational/funny (and pretty cute :D) man. My biggest brush with cancer was my Mom. 20 years ago and I can still smell the smells. I can still remember every detail. My mind has a very hard time remembering pre-cancer. It seems to go to the hospital always. From diagnosis to death was 36 days. (It should have been about 20ish to be honest) She never left hospital. We also never found out exactly what kind it was due to it being so aggressive. All we know for sure is it was somewhere in her lower torso. The beginning was surreal. We would laugh. We would be stupid. She was unable to eat or drink so they had a tube that would suck anything out before it hit what was left of her stomach. My sister and I were there 24/7 in shifts. Dad when he could. We'd bring all kinds of weird juices so she could wet her mouth and then they would turn funky colors in the collection bag. I tried to find an "I love you" balloon to hang on her bed but didn't find one. I got her a bon voyage one instead. (some of the relatives did not think that was appropriate. Mom and I thought it was hilarious!) We'd talk. We'd laugh. We'd remember. She was actually only given 4 days to live but the "good" times lasted longer. Then the good times stopped. Everything should have stopped at that point. I'm not trying to be a big downer or frighten anyone but facts are facts. So do I know what it's like to have cancer? Not personally (hopefully never) but I do know what it is like to watch your best friend. The person who gave you life....go through it. How I wish I had all these videos of her. Not so much to remember the cancer but to hear her voice and see her face. HA! I've shortened this a ton but thank you for letting me get that out. I'm not sure I've fully dealt with this yet. See! You've helped! I'll be following until there is nothing left to follow. I'll be thinking of you. Now and later. I'm signing off for now. I wish you less pain. I wish you as much time as you would like on this earth with what you are dealing with. Most of all I wish you peace and love.

I'm so very sorry! I was an adult when I lost my Mom....still totally sucks. She never got to meet my daughter which I find so very sad. It was hard enough as an adult to lose my Mom. I can't imagine being a teen and having to watch my Mom go through this. Or to lose her. This is a time in your life when you need your Mom. A HUGE hug to you. Sending good thoughts that your Mom can beat this! There is always hope. Remember even if she doesn't beat this....be the person that she would want you to be. Don't let this horrible disease take two of you. I can't tell you it will be easy either way. Fighting and winning or fighting and losing. I can't tell you to be strong. Hell....I was a mess. I can't tell you that it won't mess you up mentally either way. What I can tell you from another Mom is don't let it beat you too! And how in one day a persons world can just fall over 😢😔 I wanna say how unfair! Cancer doesn’t discriminate- my mum got it at 25 - she was told she had 6 months but she had attitude! She went in for 7 more years and it came back in her lungs she didn’t smoke - again they said times up- but she just lived her life - and 7 years later again it was back but in her bones - they’re was no chance now .... but she still lived her life - the saddest thing was she past the day before her first grandchild was born - I’ve never been so confused in all my life - you can only fight on Dan - you’re funny and smart and caring and your a freakin legend because I couldn’t do what you’re doing - id be furious- angry - pissed off - and I bet some days you are - but you don’t show that - your vlog I watch every day to remind me not to take anything for granted- thank you 💜💕⭐️

I’ve had cancer & yes survived. Am I lucky? Hell yes. My mum wasn’t so lucky. Turns out whilst she was caring for me and stepping in to look after my 3 boys including a 1 yr old, that fucking disease was already creeping about silently killing her. Dan you’re amazing. My hope is your family especially your beautiful mum know how much the whole world cares and worries about her because of you, her beautiful son. 💙

Please take care of yourself. Have routine check up. Never be careless about it ever. Most people after a long recovery just forgets that they had cancer once and fails to diagnose it earlier when it comes back. Take care.

I'm glad you are vlogging about it, it is cathartic, my mom had cancer ( leukemia chronically lymphatic), I wish she had had any kind of outlet like blogging, she died in 2003, today I'm 35 years old and I still miss my mom, the whole experience was bittersweet, but something I came to understand is that the word "cancer" is scarier than the illness itself. We are all terminal... We just don't think much about it till something is directly threatening us. I'm glad you changed, and never stop believing, because anything is possible. Sometimes it's just being together with each other, holding and supporting each other, and yes, even crying our hearts out with each other that can really help. You are at such a tender age. My heart is just breaking for you. I will tell you to not lose hope but to do whatever you have to do to get help in trying to deal with this. Do you have someone you can talk with about it such as a school counselor or a minister? It may sound trivial but it's Not. Being able to talk and vent your emotions and fears makes a Huge difference. Sending you a Massive Hug and Tons of positive Best wishes!!!!
