I love to see anyone getting a home! You did this on your own - congratulations! It's beautiful and I love the layout. I find the counters really nice! The benefit is they are solid and with that pattern you odn't have to stress out about stains. Love to see how you decorate it! We have a train near out home and we barely hear it. You can't hear it at all inside. Definitely get that fence up and your backyard will be gorgeous! Looks liek your dog is going to love it too.

You don't like the wire racks in the closets, but they will not hold dust like wood does. So you might want to rethink replacing them. I hope you enjoy the house. My wire racks have been up for 20 years. They have major posts that stand on the floor where the dust falls and can be vacuumed up. Congradulations on the house!
