Hi Melvin, your thoughts on the 405 vs the 508? i'm looking to get a climbing wheelset that can do well on the flats too..seeing the 508 is quite light too..would want to know your take for me, Thanks.

Honestly I will go for 508....its already plenty light.... To be honest... If u plan to just get one wheel for climbing it built a hill climb bike than 405 but as long as u have other wheels in ur arsenal... But if u are only buying one wheelset 508 would be the best choice as honestly it is plenty light.... It's already so light 😂.

Honestly can't comment much in elite wheels since never tried it... And honestly.... For the price... Magene it's a lot of wheels for the price... Riding might be abit light on rollings but as an all rounder is decent...

DB508 is so light I would go for that...i feel DB405 is so oooo light... Flat road and rolling will be hard.

@danihe8528 crosswind is average... Not bad again for the price... It manages quite well cross wind... Rolling abit slower... But for climbing is nice and pick up and acceleration is good.... For the attractive price... This wheel set really good...

Heya...honestly what u pay is what u get... Parcour is almost Rm1500 price different... Magene for the price you pay it's alot of wheel... Really no brainer for the price you pay base on modern specs given... If I was on a budget I would buy the magene wheelset without blinking. Magene for me it's a very lively wheel really good for sprinting but a bit harsh so you will need slightly lower your tyre pressure. Parcour feels abit slower for sprinting but on high speed Parcours feels faster and holds speed at 40kmph better. It's also abit comfier. Overall both climbs very well. And both are really good wheels for the price. If you buy either one u won't regret. In summary Magene for the price is a no brainer. Sprints well and very lively. But might need lower pressure tyre to make the ride more subtle. It's very light so perfect for weight weenie. Good value for money and even gives free tubeless valve. Parcour rides more comfort and holds high speed easier. But slightly less lively den magene. And no free tubeless valve. And it's above 1.5kg not for weight weenies but if u cycle above 38kmph often this is a good wheel to have. If ur budget is tight get magene... If u have more get parcour... Simple 🤣

Update 27 Jun 2023: Magene wheelset does not come with lightweight tubes, but it does come with 2x tubeless valves, spoke hole covers, and rim tape. If you want lightweight tubes, ask Melvin buy.
