I was diagnosed with Pseudo tumor cerebri in 1995. Its excess fluid in the brain. I have a lumbar peritoneal shunt and have had various surgeries, spinal taps, MRI's and Ct's. Stay strong …my son Gabe when he tuned 7 years old was diagnosed with the same thing you have after his surgery . He spent 86 days in the hospital . He had chemo and physical , occupational therapy . It came back after a year and had to go through it again . My son is now 11 and it doing very well.

I’m very sorry you have to go through this battle with cancer. My son was nine months old when he was diagnosed with cancer. His cancer was called Neuroblastoma. Once a child is diagnosed they usually are at stage 4. I want you to know you are in my prayers and so many people are praying for you to beat this cancer. Praying for you sweetie. I have been there. I had a reputured brain aneurysm June 11th, 2017. I was in coma. three brain surgeries, fake skull, plate two stents. Was in hospital and rehab for about four months. Went right back to work for a year and a haft. Then had to leave my job after thirty two years as a kindergarten teacher. Had to learn to do somethings over again. Butt. God has been so good to me!

I'm not sure if you will see this message, as you are dealing with a lot. Your courage has changed my whole life around. I too am dealing with something out of my control, but I'm 53 and you have given me inspiration to fight on. I still go to a corner in my own privacy and wallow in my pain and ask why. I find myself talking to God more, we've actually developed a better relationship since this started. I realize he understands when I get pissed, even at him. I told him that people say, he would never give me more than I can handle, but I sure wish he would let up a bit. Your fight, has given me fight. I go out with my son more, we've just picked up roller skating and it's all thanks to you. I see the sun rise again, thanks to you. I use your smile to brighten my day and your courage to feed my soul. I don't know if you realize the impact you are making. Fight on girl!!!

I hope you give yourself permission to have those moments to feel bad that you have had to endure this physically painful ordeal. Don't put so much pressure on yourself if you're having a down day just let yourself have it. It's all part of the human experience and the cancer experience .Like you said its all about perspective. Having an enormously positive perspective as you clearly have does not require that you can't at times express deep despair. Youu've been in a tough spot medically, and a happy ending is definitely to be expected, but that doesn't diminish how incredibly hard the journey is. God will lift you up, and you are doing so much at such a young age during a very difficult time to make the world a better place.
