I have the swift trac by satv in my g2 outlander 1000, i love the thing except I hant turn it off and keep 4wheel. I tried running a rocker switch to lock it remotely but keep the front engaged and open but no luck. The swift trac is great but thats my only complaint and it looks to me that this 4lok is the way to go.

@@OctaneAtv bout the same for the swifty, im gonna seriously mull over the 4lok. The only advantage it has over the swifty is the ability to unlock the front diff and keep 4wd but there has got to be a way to unlock the swift trac diff.

I didn’t wire it I bought the switch from a guy that makes them. Robert Pearson is his name. He can’t be found on Instagram or FB.

Would you be able to swap the normal Visco-Lok from a ‘20 outy max to a 4lok? I hear the buttons are keyed to the ECU, but I’m sure that a ‘21 ECU would work on a ‘20.

Mine is a 19. Haha so yes. It’s doable just need to wire the diff on a switch yourself.

You don’t need any electronics. It only needs power to engage the 4lok. Just a power source to hook it to and a switch to turn it on and off. Good to go.

Looks like a nice and simple installation, has anyone done this upgrade with OEM parts i.e. replacing the throttle 4WD switch housing?

No one I know of has done that. As I understand… and perhaps I don’t. :) the factory switch is tied to the ECU. So it won’t work. But again I’m no expert only going on what I read.

@@OctaneAtv This was my fear as well that the OEM system is fed and controlled through the ECU. Nothing like complicating something so simple :)
