It definitely does more "wear" to your engine just as any other engine modification would do. As long as you take care of your car and regular make sure everything under the hood is under control you shouldn't have to worry about anything.

From what I understand you are not gaining anything from e85 except lower egt and higher octane levels which means safer at high boost and high compression. E85 is actually less volatile in the same quantities as regular fuel so it requires quite a bit more to reach stoichiometric combustion. But you said your car is basically stock so I'm going to go out on a limb and say you aren't running a high compression race motor and aren't running high levels of boost so how could you possibly be making 30hp more? Correct levels of e85 would net roughly 5% increase in engine efficiency. Unless I'm mistaken I don't believe 30 is 5% of 200. Just something I was thinking about, looking forward to your reply;D Only reason I wrote so much is because if it were that easy to make such a substantial gain on an otherwise stock car then I think there would be more companies offering e85 conversion kits.

There are a ton of dyno sheets that show this car at 167-170 stock whp, and at 195-205 after an e85 tune. Don't ask me how it works, but there are a lot of everyday guys posting these results.
