This is an excellent video, and I think this area is unnecessarily difficult to collect due to poor bin placing with many bins behind parked cars. I agree that dead enders should have bins placed on only one side of the street, and it should be mandatory with incorrectly placed bins left uncollected. Reversing once is dangerous but necessary in order to collect the bins, but reversing twice is ridiculous, dangerous, time consuming, and unnecessary. Great video. Well done Dave 👏 👍

Thanks John, these streets can be a pain, council should make it so bins are placed on one side, but classic with merribek, they won’t happen anytime soon. Thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed.

@Merri-bekGarbo you're very welcome, Dave 👍 This is where the drivers union should get involved and refuse to collect the bins if the residents don't cooperate. I don't like doing that sort of thing but I think in this case it is necessary.

Yea ay, accos jsut aren't the same with the auto revs off. Only one of our trucks used to opreate at idle, but now the auto revs are on and its got an exhuast leak its had for ages.

Bloody awesome video mate, loved seeing a 22m GenV on fogo. The 120L bins are also pretty entertaining as they can get jammed pretty easily. The amount of fogo bins out especially in a tight area was pretty shocking to me as well. The dead enders are a bloody pain when drivers cant turn around at the end of them, really not made for 21st century services, surprised citywide themselves doesnt get involved with bin placement, we never used to have any rules here and deadend units would squish them all at the end of the driveway, until Veolia stepped in and directed council to mandate a dedicated area for the bins on the street. Surprised they don't have a single axle for stuff like this, do you know if in house still has a single axle or have the SL200s basically outsourced them, cheers!

Cheers Mate! Glad you enjoyed, we have only 22ms on green now, the 29m that was originally brought for green is now full time garbage, I was honestly pretty surprised with the amount of bins out in such a small area, managed to get a decent video, I thought I would only get 3-4mins. These streets are a complete pain, Citywide has really slacked off the last few years, most of the drivers have been there for years and are just used to it, and no one wants to complain lol. Prior to the fleet upgrades, they would have had single axles on these streets, but they only brought 22ms to replace them. In house have 2 out of the 3 single axles left (one GenV; used as a spare, one Spak; full time greens) Garbage they have a SPORT SL220 with the extanda arm and a runner on all the tight streets, Recycle either a volvo spak, or (stupidly) a SPORT SL350, Greens is the Spak motioned above, and Glass is the regular SPORT SL220 that does everywhere, however the single axle GenV sometimes does chop out glass. I'd love to have another go filming up there, but it's pointless as half the guys don't like being filmed and the ones that do I've already filmed, and the trucks aren't overly interesting either.
