The trip from Minnesota to Louisiana. Almost 1400 miles. We go from the cold of winter to the warmth of summer as the country slowly shuts down. Now that I am down here I am more quarantined than any other place besides if I was at The Tent. No one has stepped foot inside the house in 8 months.

I used to live in Cape Giradeau and in Popular Bluff as a kid growing up. Haven’t been back there since I left when I was a kid . Used to live down by the Mississippi River. It was so cold with lots of snow on the ground. I don’t miss that town.

I drove from Sarasota, Florida to Maple Grove, Minnesota back in 2017 to get out of Hurricane Irma’s way. Drove 8 hours a day for three days with my wife, two small children and two dogs in a Honda Odyssey. It was actually a very fun , family road trip. Paducah, Kentucky was lovely to stop at each way for lunch.

Hi Joe. Follow your videos with interest for years. I really like your way of working, building your tent and working on the farm. But Joe wants to tell you that there is some horror in Europe right now. I don't know what they say on US news about the situation in Europe because of CoviD-19, me and my loved ones have a cabin deep in the mountains. We are isolated with food, water, medicines. My advice to you is to prepare yourself and your family and isolate yourself in the tent and backwoods cabin. The situation is terrible! Be alive and well and may God protect you and your family.

@Brenda J Hi Brenda J. Nobody says anything. Yesterday in Italy, nearly 800 people were killed. That is why I took care of myself - I went to a mountain hut with my family. Europe's leaders don't even know when this hell will end! I hope God is merciful and blesses people in Europe and America. Bulgaria is a loyal ally of the USA and always will be! God be with us!

You are booking it my friend. Reminds me of my trip to Conwell Ma back in 78 but I was 23-years-old. I guess it is mind over matter but I know you are in good physical shape so I know it is not that bad. Still tiring. But you are very discipline about bed and wake up times that it really is just about going through your daily routine. Except driving a bunch of miles.

Don't forget America's farmers! Without them, we'd all be up the creek without a paddle! In each of our own ways, we all play our part in keeping the wheels of civilization spinning. From the guys and gals that plant the corn, to the truckers that bring it to the ranchers that feed their cattle and hogs the corn to the stock boy at the grocery store that unloads it off of the truck and puts it out for us to buy, to the mother of four that cooks it up for us to eat, yes sir, we all are part of what makes this work!

My house in Pennsylvania was 1336 miles one way from my house in Louisiana. It would take me 19 hours from door to door driving straight through. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and finally Pennsylvania, all in 19 hours! My forefather's fought with the Louisiana Tigers under Jubal Early at Gettysburg. I've often wondered how long it took them to get there from Louisiana.

Ann from Alabama here. Yes, the temperature has been wonderful for weeks with passing rain. Highs 70 - 80's then lows 50's - 60's. Everything is blooming, everyone is sneezing, because our cars are all yellow with pollen! Birds singing, bees buzzing, dogs barking! Spring!.. About the truckers, we've been praying for them. Some Sonics have wheeled stairs that reach the cab of the trucks so they can hand them their food and take the money. They look almost like the old airport, mobile stairs that were used for older planes!.. Don't think people will want to go back to the past regulatory restrictions we'd come to hate! When this is over. Police are being able to protect and serve; Drs. and hospitals can do what they think is necessary to save patients without red tape, letting them die, or government forms / they're making decisions on own and purchasing supplies where they can get them, truckers free to deliver merchandise to customers without big government breathing down their necks or stress of truck data locking them down, tax debt postponed, interest rates down - finally, student loans - no interest for months, schools not teaching socialism now - out, families spending time together, business are volunteering to start other lines of production to supply that which is need now! WOW! Some of these younger folks has never really tasted freedom in this country. They are now though! That's just my opinion, I know everyone has one or two! Just saying! Love your channel Joe! Glad you had a safe journey! Looking forward to more videos! Love freedom!

Truckers’ sure do get kicked around a lot and where would we be without them? I certainly do appreciate what they mean to our lifestyles. Maybe a solution to their late night meal problems is some of the fast food chains could offer late night curb service. Open for truckers only. No one else. Especially along interstates. They need some relief.
