Hello Kevin! I must say that your drumming is really inspiring. Every video is a killer. I am really curious about your pedal settings, and bass drum tightness. On both studio and live vids your footwork is always tight as hell. Before i was on max spring tension on my pedals and loose drum head, but now i am slowly going on medium to tight pedal settings and a tight head and i see increase in speed, control and endurance. Thanks in advance and keep destroying!!
@kevinparadisdrummer6 жыл бұрын
Hey ! I don't really about the drumhead, it shouldn't be a part of a setting for double bass, it is a setting for the sound first. Sometime I play without trigger for Heavy Metal or Rock Music, so I need my bass drum to sound great. About the spring, it is tight at maximum.
@2goldplz6 жыл бұрын
@@kevinparadisdrummer Thanks! It is the same reason why i kept my head loose for years... but tightening it up did help me a bit so i experimented. Thanks again tho!

Massive DRUMMING!! I saw some tape underneath your crash cymbals, Why? is there only on your crashes or also in other cymbals like ride..
@kevinparadisdrummer6 жыл бұрын
After a couple of gigs I decided to put tape under all cymbals to lower a bit the volume and the sustain. When there are 2 backlines on a stage, if you use the second one, your drums is in front. These 3 meters seem ike nothing, but they really change how loud the cymbals are for the audience, especially for the 10 front raws. So to help our sound guy and give better sound to the audience, the tape was necessary.
@warrenoids6 жыл бұрын
Don't tape it! Just use moongels!

How come you don't have a click running through your in ears along with the guitars and drums?
@kevinparadisdrummer6 жыл бұрын
A clic with the guitars and drums too while I'm playing drums too ? Come on, when you are a drummer, you are supposed to be able to give a tempo to everyone ;) Clic is needed if you have to synchronize sample to the music, but otherwise, if you have train with one, it is possible to play live without. The great about this is that you can adapt the tempo to how the audience react, to how the venue sound etc...
