*We still can’t believe that this winter getaway was 1.5 hours away from our home in Phoenix! We were thinking we wouldn’t be able to get away this year, but 2 nights opened up at this cute a frame Airbnb cabin, AND since it was short notice, they listed it for a super sale, and we were able to make it work! Watching the end of your video when you were driving down I 17 towards Phoenix made me cry. My parents live in Prescott and we made many trips up and down the 17 to Flagstaff or Phoenix. My dad passed away two months ago and I flew out there to be with my mom and arrange his funeral. Seeing that drive just flooded me with all the memories with my parents, especially my dad. It looks like you all had a wonderful time enjoying Flagstaff.

Watching the boys play in the snow was so fun to see, especially as Luke was helping Brooks slide down the hill! Can’t believe Luke wasn’t freezing bring out all day in the snow with shorts on! Watching with Brooks & his gingerbread house was so cute! Everyone did a great job on their houses!!!

What a great place. I saw that exact house on airbnb and was planning on a stay there for my trip to the Grand Canyon. It's great to get a video feel for the place. It was such a beautiful getaway cabin and the boys acted like they ran so much fun in the snow but I couldn't believe you're older son just had shorts on I would have been freezing what a fun time with family it looks like you had plenty of hot chocolate to go around what a beautiful getaway with family

When I was married we had some really great Christmas traditions we would go to Broken Bow in Oklahoma and have Christmas after but every Christmas morning we would wake up do Christmas gift for the kids have tamales for breakfast then go see the family and come home and have our Christmas dinner together and I miss all that so much

What a wonderful trip! My parents and I spent a couple of days in Flagstaff, it was early Spring and there was still some snow. This must have been about 30 years ago and we loved it! I saw a hack for gingerbread houses to melt down some sugar on the stove so you dip the edge in and it’ll stick and harden together so much faster. Hope that helps!

Happy Holidays to the Paige Family! What a great getaway. The Airbnb and view is beautiful. I'm not a big fan of the cold nor snow but this was fitting for the holidays and the kids had a blast. Your nephew is so cute. I go for the Hot Cocoa unless the apple cider is spiked a bit. At that point coint its a toss up. For the gingerbread house, the key is to use less frosting or marshmallow fluff. The more you add the more it weighs down and falls apart. Our Christmas Eve tradition is dinner at my mom's where we play games for prizes. My sister thinks up as many games as there are people and I have prizes for each. In the end everyone leaves with something. Thanks for sharing Kyle and Amanda. I bet there were takeaways for your Mom's Airbnb. Have a Healthy, Happy New Year Friends! See you in 2023 🎅🏽🎄❄️☃️👍🏼🤗

I love flag staff!! It's my favorite town in all Arizona. Have you been to Payson AZ yet? It's about an hr further from flagstaff. So pretty! Wr considered moving to flag staff last year but ended up moving to Fayetteville Arkansas instead. We love it here! We moved from California.

Hot cocoa, but I love both! For gingerbread house tips, Target had an ultra-strong frosting that you could buy in the tube this year - not only made it so we had enough to go around for the houses, but also worked REALLY well at getting them to stick, especially when a lot was used. What a cute cabin. We are currently in a park with small houses and there is a waterpark and indoor playground and all sorts of activities. And it’s a 5’ walk to the beach. Just 5 days away from home between Christmas and new year. My family and in-laws. Happy holidays for you guys!
