Omg what a terrible doctor. -_- The psychiatrist I went to was similarly unhelpful- but as far as I know, he didn't make shit up about me. Ugh, I'm sorry, Rob. That just totally sucks!

I think "very little alcohol" as claimed by an irish person is anything below 6 units twice a week.

I gave him the yearly total. He just decided to not believe me that I actually don't drink. Same for drugs btw.

Well, that's a shitty doctor. It's clear this person has decided you are going through some youthful "phase". I also get a subtle impression this person thinks gender reassignment in general, is some frivolous fad and that you want to try this "fashionable trend" because you really don't know what you want - again, just my impression. That said however, this doctor has made up a lot of stuff and put it in a report to enforce and perpetuate an illegitimate idea. Don't let this continue! Maybe, personally take the letter to another doctor, with the incorrect and spurious parts highlighted, but emphasize the part that says you show no signs of mental illness. This incongruity might help to expose this doctor's bias or at least, disinterest in your healthcare. Tell your new doctor that if there is anything making you anxious, it is the incompetent healthcare and the complete LACK of healthcare you've been recieving. Sorry to ramble but, I'm infuriated on your behalf, Rob. Don't get angry - get a different doctor. 😉
