yeah its lovely... i have got a pacific walnut burst.. the same just black burst instead of red... it matches my double bass kit in walnut burst seamlessly... ! My favorite snare among 3 high end maple snares... !

Yeeey!!! I know exactly how you feel, I own 2 Starclassics. One Bubinga/Birch in molten brown finish (22x18, 10x8, 12x9, 16x14) which I got end of 2018 just before TAMA stopped using bubinga on their Starclassics. One Maple same finish as yours but the emerald pacific with smoked black nickel hardware (20x14, 10x7, 12x8, 14x14 and the 14x6.5 matching snare) which I got last november. Honestly I don't know which one I prefer, absolute love these kits, they are gorgeous and have a killing sound. Cheers!

I have three kits and all of them are great in their own way...but my Tama Starclassic kit is, by miles, the most resonant drum kit I’ve ever played and I’ve owned at least 8 or 9 drum sets. That finish is flipping incredible too. I can only imagine how good it feels to unbox that thing. Mine is an 8-10-12-16-22. Jealous you got a 14” floor Tom too.

Just about everyone makes the same mistake. Take the time to tune each drum to the tone and pitch of the individual drum shell. From there, apply a pitch dip if so desired using the bottom resonant head.

I thing you will more dynamic if you tune more tighter the Tom heads. Today the sound always too low.

Yeah man just go to your local store and have a chat with them about a custom deal. It depends how many add ons you go for tbh and I can't remember if shipping is included. No harm in checking though! What finish you going for??

Привет с России ! а как тебе удалось такхорошо настроить? тома не подгуживают ? здорого,поделись как так? я по тюнеру тама настраиваю не знаю как 8 дюймов настроить? если по механическому тюнеру там и Дюал поскажи йифры настройки обоих сторон? я тебе свои скажу как у Гевина Харрисрона настроить
