Been a ST200 user for nearly 3 years, but sad right now. Bike started to give issue since I wasn't aware of empty coolant level..yet the bike could still perform and chuggle thru even when the engine piston and rings have overheated..before finally giving way to me last week (finally jam while throttling hard).. I must say, @Tre is right.. this bike is actually very reliable and problem free (if u check and perform Ur normal maintenance routine)..I never faced major mechanical engine or gearbox issues before on my stock set up(only open pod airfilter). Very fun bike, and it surprises me that this bike's stock mechanical parts can handle hard beating of high rpms when at expressways. And it's a rather stable bike when cornering even at higher speeds. 👍 Really recommend a healthy conditioned ST200 to others out there who wish to try a 2B scooter that can rip some bigger cc 2A bikes right on its tail. 🙏 And this comment is coming from my past knowledge riding wave,125z,KRR,MT09, Gixxers. I am surprised myself that I rank gilera as #2 in terms of road stability after Gixxers. 😅 Very practical bike on SG roads.

Hands down, the gilera runner is not a scooter to mess with. The new generation of aerox and nmax riders have no clue how fast this scooter could go!

I owned 2 of these back in the days. The malossi era 🤣 . Bike is 200cc stock . Close to 300cc with the upgraded block and blockhead . It was super fun. Coupled with the leovince gen 1 exhaust , remove the silencer and there comes the storm 👍👍👍👍👍😘😘😘

Over here in the netherlands, those 2 stroke cileras are very populair. some people swap the 50cc engines out a skr 125 engine, and put a 180cc cilinder on it. I just got a rst50 and i love it.

Use to ride the gilera st200 when i was working as a delivery rider full time at kfc during the 2012 - 2015 bike was awesome and alot of power use to race with fellow rider(tzm,sp,kr,125z) while sending the others those were the days🤣😅

They(piaggio) stopped production in 2018. No more new Runners. i actually got lucky grabbing last one in my country. 125cc thou, but already put on 200cc cylinder kit from malossi.

My one is the FBF one riding almost 10 years, no major issue, only the battery, if know how to disconnect the battery, no issue also. The only issue now is the COE renew price, rocking high, don't how government handle like this. The other fun factor for the runner 200 is inside my HDB carpark still come with 4 runner 200s, other than that all Yamahas. Hahaha very fun.

Rode it for 6 years. Mileage very jialat, its more to sports scooter. New engine mileage i tried is 215km already reserve light appear, as years goes by, 180km reserve light will appear. You will see this bike more at Pasir Ris, Tampines, Woodlands. Parts are not cheap. For those who just pass if got money they buy Gilera, if not they buy Rxz. Gilera St200 and Drz 400 are the same era we call it "town bike". This bikers will always meet at Takashimaya. With aftermarket exhaust, Leo Vince titanium gen 1, this has the best aftermarket exhaust sound for 2b or scooter. Not to forget the only 2b bike that can backfire that sounded like canon firing. Those were the days..

Nice review bro! Im 1 of guy in KL who still using this Gilera since 2001.... From SP180, RST200 till Nexus 500 = 3 of em till now. I bet ya even this "moto sakit" is an old machine, but its still a great n better performance then current new scooter models.. Hahahhah i think no other can Beat the stok gilera Std speed/accelerations lahh.. But as we all know, worlds changing, technologies also changes.. This moped unable to compare with all those new yamaha scooter models.. Well, not important,...janji Gilera laju & power🤘🏼😂

lol.. most common mod for runners is the volt meter coz the battery very easily drained...

Simply disconnect the battery from the wire (the black one), if you put the bike unused for more than 2 days. It can save the battery, even better than the volt meter.
